Today I have the scheduled visit to the Star family.

When the Star family came to Cerulean Beach they bought a flat undeveloped plot of land at the outskirt of town to put down a hall for the production of custom tanks and a house to live in. Over time they added a showcase tank in their backyard (which now has become Miranda’s pool) and a store in front of the production hall. First it was known as the Cerulean Acrylic Tank site but everybody refers to now it simply as CAT.

We’ll be having the talk in an office space thus a shirt and a pair of pants will do.

Sometimes I envy the SPCP from urban settings who don’t have to carry half a wardrobe in their car. But usually these are also the bigger branches with a lot more red tape and dress code. While I on the contrary can manage everything as I please and nobody minds a more casual dress code.

An added advantage is that because nobody here dresses up unless for a formal event those who tested PH have grown up with the idea that suits are for special formal occasions. Although me paying a visit to a new PH-2 pet is an important step I believe that it also should be just another step in a pet's life. So In that way, me having a more casual dress code put pets more at ease.

It's already past noon when I step out of my car and go to the CAT store (the only part of CAT that’s accessible for the general public) on the way there some thought bubbles up.

These are the times when I am happy my hunches about a match for a pet turned out right.

If I am totally honest with myself these are also the times I envy being a pet (though they're scarce and far between). Miranda has a whole wing for her own with a bedroom that mimics an aquarium, a closet and an ensuite bathroom. Add a living room and kitchen and you have my space.

All in all I am glad that it turned out this well for Miranda. Her number came up at a very opportune moment just when Hanna left for college and I felt that the Star family might be open for an addition to the family especially with her being a fish-pet and them being tank builders so in that way she would be in a place where she would be among fishes.

And wait … when I said they transformed their showcase tank they actually ripped out the tank claiming it had done its job and wasn’t designed to be a swimming pool anyway. So now you have a lagoon pool where you could hold "short course" competitions and a visitor trench that has been turned into a trompe-l'œil that makes you think you are completely underwater.

That being said let's see how Gabby Star is holding up.
