Who's behind you?
Hanna
Hanna repeats her question. "What were you doing in there?"
You try to think up of something that would not sound suspicious. I was data gathering for an experiment I planned to conduct.
"What kind of experiment?"
"Not sure yet, that's why I'm doing some preliminary interviews," you reply.
"It's the noon break. There's no one in that building. Who did you interview? A ghost?"
"That's why I don't want to reveal the details of the experiment--- Just think, what if there really were ghosts? And what if there was a way to make them visible?"
Hanna grinned. "Your excuses are becoming more absurd by the minute." She glances at the building you just left. "And I saw Jessica just enter that same building. Ghosts, you say?"
You are internally debating whether to tell her what was really going on. She being your buddy since grade school--- you could not dare keep anything from her. "Alright, let's go to some place private."
She motions for you to follow her as you realize you are heading towards the janitor's closet.
As she closes the door, you decide that it would be better for her to experience it first hand, than for you to explain everything. But on the other hand, you do not want to betray your friendship. What if she got mad and decided not to speak to you at all?
What do you finally decide to do?
