Chapter 3 by mask mask

Actually, you have some other questions about...

Sharks

There are many subspecies of Sharks, not all of them are as fierce as their reputation and may have some surprisingly large differences. But first it is important to study som basic traits which they have in common.

Racial traits: Sharks generally have 8 fins: 2 pectoral fins, 2 pelvic fins, 2 dorsal fins, 1 anal fin, and 1 tail fin. Each lobe of the fin is known as a peduncle. Their skin is rough to the touch and is sturdy enough to function as an exoskeleton for some of the shark's muscles.

Sharks can be fast swimmers and may dart through the water for a strike or if startled. Most of the time they cruise through the water, propelling themselves forward with their caudal fin's side to side swaying their pectoral fins steer the direction and the dorsal Finns keep them from turning over. Because of this set up, Sharks are unable to swim backwards unless they let themselves drift with the current.

Beware, sharks may become overly excited and irrational if overwhelmed. Should the shark be inclined towards you aim to stimulate their noes or lips to handle them more safely. Do take caution for their teeth are sharply serrated and their bite fearsome you ma lose you hand if not careful.

Gender-specific Traits: Females are often larger than males and are extra thick-skinned (3 times thicker than males). Though smaller, males are aggressive when making love, frequently leaving deep love bites in females. Females tend to prefer strong males that overpower them most aggressively.

Males have two penises known as claspers which are attached to the pelvic fin which become barbed when erect and penetrate the females cloaca (vagina) located between their pelvic fins. Note that males also have cloaca.
