Gwen's hits first...Well, kind of

In tandem with 「STONE FREE」's fist moving downward, Gwen darted out of her crouched position and toward Jolyne, her right hand balled into a fist as she prepared to hook the convict in the jaw. Jolyne's eyes widened as the hero's fist swung right toward her, gritting her teeth in surprise. A loud crack was heard, though it was from Ghost-Spider's punch breaking the sound barrier rather than it connecting against Jolyne's face since the stand user narrowly dodged the attack by stepping backward, which caused her to wince in pain from her injured ankles.

Gwen's eye shot open; she hadn't been expecting her opponent to be fast enough to dodge her attack by herself since she had been so reliant on her "evil spirit" to do most of the fighting. Though Gwen reasoned that her foe could react to her attack because she could command that invisible ****, which was as fast as herself, the superheroines' thoughts were quickly interrupted by the extremely tight pressure wrapping around her exposed arm, holding it in place.

Jolyne glared at her opponent, pissed off after nearly getting decked in the face by someone with superhuman strength. Before her opponent could pull her arm back, Jolyne had 「STONE FREE」grab onto her opponent's arm. "「STONE FREE」." The stand user called out her stand's name with a cold tone of voice.

「STONE FREE」, without the need for any other command, throughout a punch toward the target it was holding in place. Though before its punch could make contact with the hero's face, 「STONE FREE」's fist stopped short as sudden pain shot out through its body. Damage done to a stand is reflected back to its user, and vice versa. If 「STONE FREE」was in pain, then that meant that Jolyne was as well.

Thanks to her Spider-Sense, Gwen was able to avoid being punched in the face with enough **** to shatter a building by slamming her left leg into Jolyne's own, ripping her foe's pant leg from the shin down. Jolyne let out a loud grunt of pain, 「STONE FREE」reacting as well by slightly loosening her grip on Gwen's hand. Spider-Gwen attempted to slip out of the Stand's grasp, though it quickly tightened its grip once again, causing Gwen to let out a harsh breath. "Tell your ghost to let go of me!" the hero shouted, deciding to play along with Jolyne's evil spirit joke she made just moments ago. Gwen pushed her leg off of Jolyne's leg in order to gain momentum as she reset it back to its original position. As soon as Gwen's left foot made contact with the ground below her, she threw out another kick, this time aimed higher, toward her enemies' abdomen.

"ORA!" The fabric around Gwen's left leg exploded as 「STONE FREE」's elbow collided with it, leaving the limb nearly completely bare with the exception of the light blue ballet shoe that was on its foot. The superhero yelped in agony as her leg was sent downward. It made no sense to Gwen; she had been letting her Spider-Sense go full ****, sensing and predicting everything in her surroundings, yet that invisible **** was catching her off guard. Gwen had been able to react to it earlier, yet now she was struggling heavily despite amping up her senses to their maximum.

「STONE FREE」threw the arm it was holding onto to the side, "You want me to let you go? Fine..." Jolyne started. 「STONE FREE」, using the same arm it used to elbow Gwen's leg, it quickly raised it up and threw a punch heading straight toward the left side of Gwen's face, "But I'll have to send you flying off as well." The Joestar finished her quip.

For less than a second, Gwen felt her Spider-Sense ring out, and before she could even possibly process the information getting sent to her brain, all Gwen could feel was pure agony as 「STONE FREE」's fist slammed into her face. "ORA!!!!" the stand roared out as its fist pushed off of Gwen's face. The already-ripped section of the left side of Ghost-Spider's mask was expanded, with the entire left side of the mask getting destroyed. Blonde hair flew forward as the rest of Gwen's body went soaring backward, toward the city.

It had happened again; her Spider-Sense had failed her, or perhaps she had failed her Spider-Sense. That damn invisible **** wasn't even letting her think. Hell, it wasn't even letting her act on instinct. Despite the immense pain that Gwen was in, the superhero remained conscious, staring down at her foe as she continued to fly backward. Mindlessly, the Spider-Woman shot out a web toward the prison escapee. Jolyne spurted in surprise as the web stuck to her face, right before letting out a pissed-off yelp as she felt herself getting pulled into the air alongside her opponent. Both women shot through the air, and pedestrians from below looked up to watch the pair fly through the New York sky.
