Guerrilla Warfare

Well that had been an absolute success. The Zombie Lord Amazons still had all their abilities intact and even more importantly their memories as well. My **** Knight was even better because not only did she have all of her old skills she had gained power, when she drew her sword now it was swiftly wreathed in cold blue fire and that was just the tip of the iceberg. With five levels in Juggernaut Otrera was easily among one of my most powerful minions now even without her new Undead skills, shame about the crippling new weakness to Light but nobodies perfect.

The two Fighter/Shamans could even still call Elemental Spirits, though they seemed bothered by the **** Knight and didn't like me at all but Glauce and Ocyale were able to calm them down. Getting information first on the Spirits it was true they did not like organized structures, it wasn't a perfect defense though as more powerful callers could still **** them inside destroying the structure in the process. I had no doubts Alkadabuki was strong enough to **** them to destroy whole cities if she felt like it so Delta's fortress would only stop her if there was something, or someone... inside she wouldn't want to destroy along with it.

My Undead Amazons also knew right where the villages where having grown up in them and Laomache, the Ranger, even knew the one I wanted being well acquainted with the love interest and his girl. Turns out even without her confessing it was painfully obvious to a lot of people in that village how Tits felt about the guy, which is why his relationship with another girl remained hidden. Even her own people feared the epic meltdown her broken heart was likely to cause.

With Hali and her daughters able to secretly ferry my Undead to the village were they would be able to get past the Guardian Spirits and secure the package I felt like that was all I needed to do for now in dealing with the Amazon Queen, her own heart would deliver her to me. So now I needed to figure out a gambit for the Hornet empress.

I could just leave her alone but without Buki the Hornets would slaughter the Amazons sooner or later and from the first five examples of fine female forms I'd beheld I wasn't okay with that waste of potential. Might be best to just go with the nuclear option despite my inclination for stealth tactics. Clover knew where her mother was, and her forces. I could bring in my own blue haired pocket nuke to obliterate a swath of rain forest taking out the bulk of the Hornet army. That should drive the Empress to ground if only to rebuild her forces but might serve as a wake up call as well. Of course I'd need to neutralize the Amazon Queen before bringing in Citrinas, she'd be sure to recognize the Arch-Imago's power otherwise and either beeline straight for me or finish off the Empress then come for me. Neither being something I wanted.

"Clover."

"My King?"

"You're sure you know your mothers location?"

"Of course my King, she's in my head. She's linked to all her daughters much like her own Hornets, it's how she gives us orders. Some of us have enough willpower to largely ignore them, but the link is still there, I can still hear what she wants."

"Can she tell where you are?"

"She can, but she also knows where the rest of my sisters are and she'd need reason to pick one of us out of the swarm."

"So how do you think she'd react to say the whole region of rain forest with the bulk of her forces in it being incinerated in a flash?"

Clover just blinked for a bit looking stunned "You can do that?" She asked in a quiet voice eventually.

"I have someone who can, so how would she react?"

"Anyone with any sense would flee as far away as fast as possible if that happened, but knowing my mother she'd just retreat to a back up hive and start breeding a new army."

"Do you know where her back up hive is?"

"Oh she'd just take the hive of one of us that's hiding out now, with most of the swarm destroyed we'd stand out to her."

"You think the others that are trying to hide now would flee in the face of that kind of destruction?"

"If they were aware of it, but even if they don't and just stay where they're hiding now she'll still be isolated. That's what you want, right?"

"Exactly right." I walked Clover over to the map Delta was putting together on the region, the Amazons were currently helping fill in their side. "Okay so I want you to work with Delta here on this map and keep it updated on your mothers location, got that?"

"Yes my King."

"Excellent." I pulled out my copy of the Runestone for the communication network and called in Halicarnassus, Carnadeus, Halimodeus, and Citrinas to join us and kick things into motion. Then I pulled Delta aside to have her work on some modifications to the fort to help when the guest of honor got her invitation to join the party.

Alkadabuki was in for one hell of a surprise.
