Chapter 7 by SchlongDong SchlongDong

What changes will he make?

Guaranteeing the future (Main path)

As David sat and aimlessly looked out of his window, he thought about how drastically his life would change because of today's events. Today had been wonderful for him, but he couldn't be sure that things would always be alright. He opened up the book to his page and confirmed what he had already changed. There was a part of him that wanted to give himself abilities from his favorite pieces of fiction or give himself the greatest mind to sort everything out, but this all came with huge risks. When it came to his mind, he couldn't mess with it easily because he wasn't sure that he would remain as himself without being very specific and regarding the abilities, he didn't know if extra rules that came with the abilities would transfer over.

His mind was still very hazy and wandering between thoughts of what to do and if he made any mistakes today. While in this state, he wondered where his fear had gone. He had been so scared of doing the wrong thing at first, but he was strangely at peace with the existence of the rulebook. His mind seemed to blur even more as that thought went through his mind.

He decided to stop thinking of useless things and focus on the future, since he was immortal now. He didn't want to live in a world that changed faster than he could adapt to, but he still viewed time as a regular human for now so he needed the changes to come soon.

"20 years? Too soon, every change would be too **** and might not last. 150? Too far, the world might not last that long for the changes to happen." He kept going back and forth with himself and eventually decided on 50 years for certain aspects of the future to be finalized. He flipped to a new page and wrote "Humanity" at the top.

[New Rule: Fusion energy and all forms of renewable energy will advance very rapidly over the course of the next 50 years, humanity will be able to replace the need for energy sources that damage the environment very early on in these years of rapid development. Newer forms of generating energy will be discovered in this time period as well that would be on the same level as humanity's rapidly developing energy sources. The technology that humanity develops will soon make the use of fossil fuels obsolete through the use of extremely compact energy storage and extremely quick energy transfers.]

[New Rule: Medical technology will advance very rapidly within the next 50 years. STDs, cancer, dementia, and other forms of medical conditions that humanity is unable to cure or cause **** in most cases will be eradicated and/or cured.]

[New Rule: Humanity will advance in terms of their society and will very quickly learn to handle the rapidly developing technologies that will come to be in the future. Things such as sexism, racism, and unfair discrimination will disappear over the next 50 years. Humanity will always become wiser over time and so will individual humans.]

[New Rule: Humanity's overall technology will develop at the same pace as their energy sources.

David felt like these rules were okay for making sure that the future didn't spiral into chaos for a good while, he would have added the hope of humans being able to have longer lives if it weren't for the part about humans becoming wiser over time. He didn't want to watch those that he loved die, but he needed to make sure that he had a head start on everyone else first. These new rules made David hopeful for the future, he had tried to stay vague so that he didn't control it too much. As he thought about about the new future that he had just set in stone, he felt an urge to add some changes just for himself. He did just make some rules for the sake of keeping the world intact, so he should get some rewards.

[New Rule: The owner will be given $100,000 every week from the richest corporation. This money will be considered to have been earned legally and will be able to be used without issues by the owner.]

[New Rule: The owner always will be considered to be the most attractive human by others. Regardless of how strongly they feel about the owner, they will not **** themselves on the owner.]

He felt a bit odd after writing those rules. His eagerness to make these rules seemed unlike how he usually acted. It felt like there was a barrier in his mind that stopped him from approaching the topic of his new urges to make rules. He couldn't remember what he was thinking about and decided to get in bed with Ayla to rest.

How does he wake up?
