Gretel

Hm... This one is Gretel.

"Gretel" is just her given name. Witch Hunters do not recognize her; I only know of her from the knowledge that the witch that brought me here granted to me. All I know is that she is the rare witch who seems to be an ally of Battler. She may have titles, like other witches, but I do not know them. Still, I'm eager to get to know her.

As a witch, she's strangely confined to the "meta-world," a realm where witches play their game outside the board. That is to say: Gretel does not seem to be able to enter the world of Rokkenjima, nor even the world of witches upon Rokkenjima. That makes her a bit like me, before I got this power to supplant myself. I'm not sure if she has any magical powers, but she does seem to have the backing and protection of another powerful witch, so tread carefully.

She's cold and harsh, even towards Battler. I'd say she's a bit of a "cool girl" type, and yet, I hear she's been bullied a lot in the past. She's the noble but unlucky type you want to help and nurture, rather than bullying.

At the time of this story, Gretel would be in the meta-world, preparing for the game or talking to Battler. Where else could she be? I'll need a lot of Pink Trigger power if I want to drag her anywhere else.

Gretel is clearly 18, but all of the other witches still call her a kid. They aren't much older, are they?
