Now, if someone like that suddenly showed up for a person on the street, they would surely freak out. However, this was not the middle of a street, but the inside of a virtual simulation. Josh was already half-expecting something like that, and although he was a bit surprised by the appearance of the being that was before him, he was not freaked out in the slightest.

“Hello.” The young man said to the entity, “Are you part of the demo program?”

It sounded natural asking that, and the creature looked back at him before speaking in a computer voice, which was as genderless as it overall appearance:

“My name is Fursona, and I am an A.I. that is part of the main programming of Virtual Furry Dream.” The creature said to him, sounding very neutral as it spoke that. “I am the one who will take the role of the character you will be engaging with.”

Josh looked at it up and down. It certainly didn’t looked like the character of any fandom he knew...

“I currently am on my default mode.” Fursona explained to the young man, “This is the basic appearance that I have, and that will change according to the character you chose. My simulation algorithm will allow me to change to match the appearance, voice, speak patterns, mood, even the personality and mannerisms of your chosen character, all of it based on stored information of said character on our databases and on the popular fandom information.”

Josh looked at him, feeling happy for having heard that.

“So, you can just become any character I chose?”

“That’s correct. Within the company regulations.” Fursona said, and Josh looked at him.

“So, there are rules?” He asked, and Fursona was then explaining:

“Virtual Furry Dream follows the same rules created by the National Virtual Reality Politics Committee.” The virtual figure said, “Such rules included no underage characters and no feral characters. The ‘no underage characters’ rule is based on the laws against pedophilic content on virtual reality, while the ‘no feral characters’ rule is mainly aimed to avoid implications of ****.”

Oh, yeah, Josh knew those rules. They were created when people first started to use virtual reality for sex. People got ear that some creeps were using this to indulge into sex with children and animals, and had the reaction one would expect. They argued, with a lot of grounds, that by indulging in such behaviors in virtual reality would eventually lead those people to indulge in them in the real life. So, laws were created laws forbidding having sex with minors and animals on simulations.

“However, Virtual Furry Dream offers you options.” Fursona continued, “We offer you adult versions of some popular young characters, all of legal consenting age. We also offer anthropomorphic versions of some of the most popular feral characters. All of them within the regulations of the N.V.R.P.C. and available for either a free experience or a programmed scenario.”

“Free experience?” Josh asked, “Programmed scenario?”

“There are two modes to interact with the chosen character.” Fursona said, “The ‘free experience’ is a scenery in which you are free to do as you please, there are no scripts, and you are able to simply engage into sexual relations with your chosen character as you see fit, being able to quickly change the surroundings to fit anything you want to indulge with your chosen character, allowing you to control the reactions of the character, the overall background, and the fetishes explored during the course of the fantasy. Such fetishes can include; but are not limited to; romance, ****, bondage, slavery, power play, BDSM, ****, humiliation, even snuff, if you are into such thing.”

“Meanwhile, the ‘programmed scenario’ option plays a specific, pre-programmed scenario or fantasy for you to play with your characters. Such scenarios are created with information gathered from the fandom of the character, combined with popular fantasies played out previous users of the services of Virtual Furry Dream. This information is compiled to form prep-stablished scenarios that play into a specific fantasy script, which involves certain pre-stablished fetishes. Such fetishes can include; but are not limited to; romance, ****, bondage, slavery, power play, BDSM, ****, humiliation, even snuff, depending on your personal preferences and the options that will be presented to you while playing the scenario.”

“Both ‘free experience’ and ‘programmed scenario’ are elaborated with the intent of giving you control over the flow of events, and to allow you to enjoy the most your experience with your chosen character. Do you understand all that I explained, of would you like me to explain again?”

“I understand.” Josh said, and Fursona nodded.

“Good, now, would you like me to explain the details of our terms and services?” He asked, and Josh shook his head.

“I just want to get right to the good stuff.” Josh said, starting to get impatient, and wanting to go into the chance to have his fantasy.

“As you wish.” Fursona said, “Now, I’ll start the process of choosing your character. First of all, is your chosen character male or female?”
