Going solo!

You've been a minion for long enough. You've been a leech for long enough. You've been a TRAITOR for long enough. Time to cease all of those and become a proper monster again. You'll assemble some minions of your own and start killing heroes, as it should be. It might be harder, but you're done with this humiliating strategy of yours.

You sigh, your hands on your back while shifting your weight from one foot to another. "You're really nice for a hero. I'm super-lucky to have encountered you and not... pretty much anyone else. So I'm sorry to say I think it's better for me to go off on my own. My new class is, as I understand it, more about commanding monsters, so hanging around a hero isn't really... viable anymore."

Morwyn laughs a little. "Look, it's okay. I'm not gonna kill you or anything. I'm just glad there are a couple monsters around with more nuanced personalities than 'kill, kill, kill'."

"...And I guess I'm glad there are a couple heroes who are like that too."

Another laugh. "Stop it, you're gonna make me feel bad about killing things. ...It sounds pretty bad when saying it out loud."

You shrug. "It's the name of the game."

"I guess so", Morwyn says and walks closer to you, crouching to close the height-gap. "Good luck out there, little guy."

"Thanks," you mumble, a little flustered. "Think we'll meet again?"

"Maybe. It's a big world. You gonna try to kill me if we do?"

You shake your head. "Not if you're not."

She smiles at you. "I won't. I'd probably rather have a chat to catch up on what's happened between then and now." Then she ruffles your... hat. "Off you go now. Go make something of yourself. You better at least be a miniboss by the time we see each other again."

You chuckle and correct your hat as she straightens back up. "I hope so... Good luck to you too."

Morwyn then blows you a kiss and turns, walking away.

...What was that about? Was it just a cheeky goodbye or should you have done something? Welp, too late. She's already out of sight and you're all alone. Time to do something about that by finding yourself some new friends. You start walking in the opposite direction, in search of monsters to fill up the loneliness left by your departing companion.
