Going Home

Finally the film ended and Amy stood up to leave but noticed Jess was still sitting in her seat. "What you like watching the credits?"

"No I just... are you sure that you don't have something that I can change into?" Jess said nervously.

"Why? Did you spill something? Oh right your boyfriend is waiting for you." Amy teased. "Come on you're gonna have to let him down at some point, or maybe he went home."

"Yea sure maybe he went home!" Jess said standing and trying to convince herself. But as they exited the theater he saw Mark waving at him as they entered the lobby.

"Well don't keep him waiting!" Amy giggled. "I'll go wait in the car." She said walking towards the door, but then before leaving darted behind a column to watch. She saw Jess slowly approach as Mark greeted her again clearly very excited, but as Jess began to speak his face fell. Amy felt bad for the kid but this was going to be for the best, and it was a good learning experience for Brendan so he knows how to cut off....... "Why is Mark writing something down?" She said to herself as Mark's spirits lifted again and he handed Jess a note and seemed to be thanking her profusely as she turned and walked towards the exit staring at the paper.

"Eeeepppp!" Jess squealed as Amy grabbed her arm.

"What ya got there?" Amy questioned.

"What? Got where!" Jess said trying to slide the paper inter her pocket only to be reminded that they weren't functional before Amy snatched it out of her hand.

"Lets see what we have here." She taunted opening it up. "Oh my god is this his phone number!" She exclaimed. "You were supposed to break up with him not take it to the next level!"

"I did break up with him." Jess protested. "But he got so sad and I felt really bad so I might have told him I had a little sister about his age and she was single and that I'd give her his phone number."

"You what!? Jess you don't have a sister cause you aren't a real person."

"You don't think I know that! I just panicked again and here we are O.K. I got out of that crisis and now I just need to throw this away when we get home and never wear this body again and everything will be fine."

"None of this would be a problem if you just did what I told you and let him down easy. Now he's gonna be waiting for a text from a girl that doesn't exist. Now you aren't just ruining his night you're gonna ruin his week hell you might mess up his life." Amy said.

"Oh it won't ruin his life. I mean maybe his week or month but not his life. It's not like kids develop trust issues when adults lie to them......... Fuck I need to talk to him." Jess said looking around the lobby but Mark was nowhere to be seen.
