Gods and witches (interlude)

I ran back to the Batplane after this insane mission, "AAAAH MY LEGS!" I seriously need to do more cardio.

Then Batman took me back to my home and gave me a quick 'thanks' for the help, and as I finally returned to my house, I only wanted to fall on my bed, because LORD KNOWS I'M TIRED!

It's crazy to think back about how fast my life is changing, all thanks to this power, and... I still have no idea where it came from. What was her name again? Circe? She said something about a god choosing me and Zatanna said this is energy is connected to space or something like that.

Hopefully, one day I'll get more answers; I wonder what the future awaits for me.

The next day comes...

"Well, well... He's not wasting time, ain't he?"

We see Circe naked in her tub taking a relaxing bubble bath; the water inside shakes on small waves every time she moves her arms, thick legs, and prominent breasts. Her hair is loose, her skin shining a bit from how smooth it is and she's making no effort to hide her gorgeous figure even tho her Ani-men servants are also in the bathroom. A couple of her servants bring her fruit on a silver plate while one of them holds the crystal ball for her to keep an eye on what Jason is doing.

She can see that he had a lot of fun with this clown lady. Even tho Circe doesn't perceive anything wrong with it, she's aware that that's also a consequence of how his power works, Jason's power hides more secrets than what meets the eye; even if she can't find a reason to harm Jason, that doesn't mean she won't continue to keep an eye on his odd power.

Then after Circe eats some of the fruit, she smiles with an evil grin and says "I like his spirit... He's slowly grasping his true potential..."

Circe then lays back and looks at her roof while thinking "Hmmm... The gods must be planning something, I wonder how they're going to interfere."

Circe then finishes to eat the fruit of the silver plate and gets out of the tub as one of her servants brings her a towel. She dries herself and then dresses up with her usual armor.

As she exits the bathroom, Circe thinks to herself "One day... I'll become the goddess that I deserved to be all these centuries."

"An anomaly?"

Here we can see the goddess Hera talking with her daughter Athena (the goddess of wisdom) in the throne room.

Zeus casually walks into the room with a drink and asks "Heeey Athena, good to see you; is there something going on?" Hera then explains to him "She was reporting me about an anomaly that recently landed on this universe."

Athena continues to explain "Yes, according to my studies and the recent behavior of the cosmos, it was small concentrated energy from another dimension that apparently landed in our universe... Have you two noticed anything out of the ordinary?"

Zeus then thinks about it and asks "Wait... Are you talking about that purple gem?" Athena surprised asks "What purple gem?" Hera then squeezes the bridge of her nose with her index and thumb while saying "Honey, we were gonna discuss that WAY later!" Zeus then nervously says "Oh... Sorry."

Athena is a bit confused so Hera rolls her eyes and explains "You'll see Athena... Your father and I found a mysterious gem a couple of days ago, we didn't know what it was but it had some unstable properties, so your father decided to send it to the mortal realm to make a little... experiment."

Zeus then continues "Yes, BUT I did it because the energy was already weak enough, without a host it might've just vanished away, and to not risk anyone's safety in here, I just gave it a mortal host, that way WE CAN study it; and there's nothing to worry about, we're the only ones who know about it, I've been keeping an eye on him and so far it seems stable, he even behaves like all the other heroic mortals with their powers."

Athena then thinks about what he did and she tells them "Okay but... keep watching him, even if the amount is small, the cosmic energy itself could grow in power, mutate, or directly link to something outside of our universe."

Zeus then explains, "Oh don't worry dear, his energy is still pretty weak, not to mention he's a normal unexperienced mortal... But if you have a better plan of action, I'm eager to hear it."

But Athena replies "Hmmm... What if we bring him here? I can get the materials to build some artifacts, do some tests on him, and collect enough data to figure out how this energy behaves and the best way for us to use it." Zeus and Hera are a bit surprised by the suggestion.

Hera then says "Dear, you know mortals aren't supposed to visit us." So Athena tells her "I know but what if he's the key to understand better this cosmic energy? It could be the key to mastering and understanding more about our universe... Or do you want another cosmic entity to find it before we do?"

Both Zeus and Hera think about it for a moment. After they look at each other, Hera says "2 hours, you do the tests and then he leaves, okay?" Zeus also adds "And remember to keep the matter private between the 3 of us, we don't need the other gods to know about it."

"Understood! Thank you... In a couple of days, the artifacts are going to be ready." After she said that, Athena hugged them and then she left.

Athena then leaves to go and build the needed artifacts for the tests. Meanwhile, Zeus asks Hera "She definitely inherited your ambition." Hera then smiles and says "Indeed... I just hope we can get something useful out of all this."

After they finish their conversation, Zeus and Hera just think about what the future awaits them, I guess when you're immortal and you can do almost whatever you want and go to almost wherever you want, your only valid question is 'What's next?'
