God damn Ennard!

John pulled out his sword and got into an offensive stance. The dragon saw this and let out a laugh at the sight.

“What, you think you can beat me alone?” snorted the dragon.

“Whoever said I was alone? IDENA!” John yelled, followed by the sound of a window breaking behind the twins. The two looked behind them and gasped in surprise when they saw a harpy come out of John’s house and straight towards the dragon.

“So, he has gained an ally?”

“Oooh, and she was in his bedroom. I bet you know what they doooooo!”

“This dragon will prevent us from talking to John while it is here. Should we assist him in ending it?”

“Yay! Fun time!” shouted Miho before she blasted herself towards the dragon. Mikuru sighed as she summoned rocks to form her battle armor. John and Idena had already begun their attacks, with Idena blasting the back of Ennard’s head and his torso. John, meanwhile, was dodging the claws and fire breath attacks and getting a few hits in. Charge followed by Slam worked best on the dragon.

“Argh! I can’t believe I’m helping you fight a dragon!” complained Idena as she shot lightning at Ennard, the dragon getting annoyed at it. “If it weren’t for this stupid collar I’d be helping him!” cried the harpy. Miho and Mikuru launched attacks while flanking Ennard, the dragon having to now attack in 4 different directions.

“Bah, insolent gnats, you don’t know who you are attacking!” yelled Ennard. “Bear witness to my power!” said the dragon as he lifted his front leg and slammed it to the ground, causing John and the twins to stagger backwards. Ennard moved his hand and from that spot arose a girl, except she seemed to be a dark or shadow version. She reminded him of Shadow Link from Ocarina of Time. Still the best game ever made, thought John.

The girl had hair that was put in a simple ponytail, with a round but mature looking face. She was about 5’8” and, thanks to her large tits, had to weigh at least 140 pounds, if not more. While John’s head would have normally been flooded with naughty ideas at this sight, the fact that she was also carrying a high caliber rifle, that she was pointing at him no less, made him stay focused. John did get a quick Observe on her, but all it told him was that she was a facsimile of Victoria Beloozero, summoned by the magic of Ennard.

“Go, my dear, and kill that dick!” Ennard commanded. The girl nodded and brought her gun up, aimed it at John, and fired before he could react quickly enough. John closed his eyes in reflex and waited for the sheer pain of a bullet tearing through his body after the shot was heard. After a second or two, John opened one eye and saw the bullet, still spinning, was stopped right in front of him by wind.

“Hurry up and mooooooove. I can’t hold it much longer!” yelled Miho, followed by a gust of wind that pushed John out of the way. Miho’s wind dissipated, and the bullet flew by and was lodged into a nearby house.

“God. Of course you can’t actually win a real fight and had to use that dirty trick to beat me!” Idena declared in an annoyed tone.

“What do you mean, harpy? John has fought us twice and has shown a unique ability to somehow win,” Mikuru said to Idena.

“Really? I still don’t believe it,” Idena curtly said to Mikuru.

“Can we please focus on the god damn dragon and gunner girl please?” John said as he dodged the right claw of Ennard coming down at his location just seconds ago. John let off a Slam onto the claw. John had been hitting that same spot over and over again, hoping that it would eventually do some damage. It seemed his plan worked because the dragon made a yelp of pain and quickly brought its claw up. Idena let loose another torrent of wind and lightning attacks to the back of Ennard’s head.

“Argh! Well you stop beating my head!” the dragon struggled while stuck in the rip, trying to get through so he could properly move. “If I wasn’t stuck, I’d so be tackling you right now!” declared Ennard as he attempted to swat at Idena.

Meanwhile, the M&M twins were easily outclassing the gunner. The mystery girl had changed from her rifle to a set of twin SMGs. John found it rather amusing that she was using twin SMGs to fight twins. The twins’ strategy was quite strong against Victoria. Miho would hide behind Mikuru, whose rock armor easily stopped the bullets. Whenever the Victoria stopped to reload, Miho popped out from behind her sister and rush the gunner, hitting her with a barrage of punches and kicks. Victoria’s skill at hand-to-hand combat was poor, but once she got her guns reloaded, Miho would retreat back behind her sister. Victoria knew her SMGs would never penetrate the rock armor, but her armor piercing rifle took too long to aim and shoot, allowing Miho more than enough time to finish her off.

“Idena, go assist the twins! The sooner they finish off that girl, the sooner we can beat this dragon!” John commanded as he dodged a fire breath attack. Idena let loose one more lightning attack to the back of Ennard’s head before she flew over to assist the twins. Idena opening a second front against Victoria was exactly what the twins needed. When Victoria turned to shoot at Idena, Miho unleashed a powerful gust of wind to launch Mikuru forward. Mikuru made an oversized rock fist on her right hand and hit Victoria right on her tits. Idena followed that up with a bolt of lightning that hit its target.

“Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!” was all Victoria could get out before she exploded in a puff of dark smoke. Ennard let out a blood curdling howl at the same time that Victoria exploded.

“Nooooooooooooooooo! Victoria! YOU’RE SUCH AN ASSHOLE, JOHN!” yelled the dragon. “I’m coming my waifu, I’ll braid your hair to make you feel better!” Ennard said as he pushed himself back through the rift, returning to wherever he came from.

“Wait…did he say waifu?” John asked.

“How curious, an otaku dragon,” said Mikuru.

“Well, that was fuuuuun!” Miho said happily.

“Hmph. Maybe you can fight without having to resort to slavery,” was all Idena said before she flew back to John’s room, apparently wanting nothing more to do with John than what she had to do. The twins made their way over to John.

“John Newman, you joined the Abyss Monday, yet you have encountered and bested people and creatures that were superior to you,” Mikuru started. “So we have decided that you are worthy enough for us to follow. We’re pretty sure you’ll lead us to epic fights!” Miho said with her excited tone. “More importantly, we believe you will be the best path to power,” Mikuru explained their plan.

“But aren’t you working for some big evil guild?” John asked, not sure of the twins’ motives.

“Yes, but Black Velvet will only allow us to grow so much before they either **** us to stop growing or just kill us because we are on the verge of being too strong for them to control and will upset the power balance in Black Velvet,” Mikuru explained to John.

“Hmm. You two would be great allies, but how do I know you two won’t just cross me when it’s convenient for you? Or if you two have decided that you have gained as much power as you could get from me?” John directed the question to Mikuru.

"You do not. But remember, we could have easily just trapped you in this barrier and killed you if we wished. Instead, we wish to join you,” Mikuru pointed out.

“Yes, but you didn’t even realize that your trap barrier had also caught my own ally,” John pointed out, “So she and me could have taken you both by surprise and beat you.”

“Ally? She seems to imply that she is a ****.”

“Well yes and no. But fine, I’ll let you follow me. Although, I don’t know what we can do about Moira. She’s quite intent on capturing you two, hell maybe even killing you,” John told the twins.

“We could eliminate her for you,” suggested Mikuru.

“What? No! I have…plans for her. Do you have a place to stay?” John asked.

“We do, but the Black Velvet will check there for us once they realize we no longer work for them,” Mikuru explained.

“I’m boooooooored. Can we do something fun?” Miho finally said, joining the conversation.

“We need to figure this out, imōto, else we’ll be killed.”

“I knoooooooooow. Still boring. I’m gonna go play with the harpy!” Miho decided as she marched off towards the house. “Ideeeeeeenaaaaaaa!”

“Getting back on track, yes, you staying at your place would be bad if that is the out,” John agreed as he thought of a plan. I have Idena already hiding at my house, so I can’t take them there. Plus my mom is all messed up, John thought. That’s when he noticed the pop up icon. He clicked it, hoping the break would clear his mind.

Hearthstone? Like the game? Wait, no, that makes no sense. Probably refers to the hearthstone like in WoW? But that’s used to return to inns, John thought before he remembered he could just use Observe on it instead of making wild guesses. Mikuru went over to John, wanting to see what he mysteriously just gained out of seemingly nowhere.

“Huh, might as well try it,” John said as he thought about ‘using’ the hearthstone. There was a bright flash that engulfed John and Mikuru.

John looked around to see a dark and dreary sight. There was a castle directly in front of John and Mikuru. Most of the walls and towers were crumbling or completely destroyed, with what looked like impact points from siege weapons. The castle’s keep was the only thing that was remotely kept intact. The land around the castle looked dead, with no signs of plant life on it. At about 200 feet, John guessed, from the castle, there was grass growing and it kept going until it met the tree line. The trees, however, were straight out of a fairy tale of an evil forest where the bad guy lived. The sky was dark, with the sun blotted out by dark clouds. It was as if the entire area was cursed to look evil.

“Well, let’s go check out the keep,” John said as he began to walk towards it. Mikuru quickly chased after him, still amazed that John had been able to transport them to a kingdom.
