“Well, there is at least someone with a different name present. Nick, Mata’s ex, who is a goblin. We really don’t know anything about him or the circumstances of their break up. But he has a cocky smile and that is enough for Arthur to ruin his life.”

Alright Kena, tell me the truth, why do you want your sister to be miserable?” A brief look of pain flitted across her blank face. “She’s the favorite. Spoiled. Gets everything she wants.” Arthur nodded. “That simple, huh? She gets what she wants and you take it. Okay, we’ll start there. Mata is the favorite, because she’s better than you.” She shook her head but spat out “better than me.” He nodded. “She’s better than you and you know it. And that’s why you came out here to be a jealous little cock tease. “Arthur basically turns Kena into a dominatrix that despises Nick.”

“Indeed. The issue I am having is that the story didn’t set up that conflict. Up until now Mata seemed fairly happy, so how badly could that breakup possible have affected her? Besides, would Mata even want her sister to get an inferiority complex like this? One, that from the limited interaction we have with her she already has?”

“I do, because Mata specifically mentioned meeting parents, as in plural. This could have been easily enough remedied by substituting parents with mother and making some remarks that her father perished in a mining accident seven years ago.”

“Weirdly specific, but ok.”

“The fact that there is no mention of him is very sloppy.”

“For fucks sake, Marcie. Dickman just didn’t want to deal with the nasty implications that Arthur made Mata hate her own father with all the male goblin racism.”
