You tell Lord Michael of your hobby... You have been visiting church daily ever since your childhood. You are almost considered a saint, with you at his side, god will provide protection for him. As your surprised husband looks at Father Constantinus, he nods and tells him of how deeply devoted you are to your faith and god has chosen this path for you. Michael smiles and tells one of his man to get you a horse. He dismounts and kisses you. You will be reconquering the Holy Land! Together! You leave you gold at the manor, you won't need it at the battles and the sponsors of the crusade will provide you with all essentials while away. It is said, the king offers new titles to anybody who is willing to go on the crusade with him! This helps you step a bit further on the social hierarchy!

You arrive at the port, where you are supposed to meet the crusader army. The army is huge indeed... You can see men from all around the kingdom and even beyond. Lord Michael brings you to one of his old friends, Baron George. He is surprised to see a woman at the crusader camp. The three of you talk a little and prepare for departure. You have never seen a baron before! Now you have even talked to one! He even became your friend! George wishes you good luck and asks you to visit his castle after the was has been over. You board the ships and set sail. The road is long and tiresome... It takes months to get there... You use the time to get to know Lord Michael better. You regret you haven't spent more time with him before... You find out he is a good man indeed. But soon you can see your destination... A City with great walls is in front of you. A crusader bastion, filled with all kinds of people from all over the Middle East. You can see Muslims, Christians and Jews going about their business. You visit the local churches and observe the holy artefacts they keep there. All seems to be peaceful, yet you know, war is on the horizon. You don't spend much of a time in the city, from now on, you will go on horseback to meet your foe, a sultan who threatens the Christian domains, once owned by his predecessors.

You sleep in the same tent with your husband, both of you focusing on the battle ahead. Erik and your men sleep around your tent, each standing guard at night one by one to ensure your safety. The battle will be tomorrow. You spend all your night praying, that your husband succeeds and returns alive.
