Go to the waterfall

You arrive at the waterfall. The water is fresh and your energies are replenished. But your attention is drawn to a small bonfire near the entrance of a cave at the edge of the pool. Someone, or something, is nearby.

To continue your journey, you look upward, where the rocks rise steeply toward the source of the waterfall. Climbing them would be easy and you will avoid whoever is in the cave and continue.

Do you check the bonfire, risking an encounter, or do you climb the rocks and avoid it?
