Go to the town

You decide to go incognito into the town. As expected, your escorts want to follow to ensure your security. Instead, you order them to covertly ensure the whole venue is safe, reasoning that it would benefit the people as well as you.

The lanterns light up the whole place, as it came to life despite the darkness of the night. People weave through the stalls as the vendors try to attention to things they're selling, be it fabrics, trinkets and food and drink. There's even a stall or two selling swords and leather armor, with hired guards making sure that no one would be foolish enough to steal them.

You feel a bump on your back.

"I'm sorry, mister," a boy apologizes, before running off, a spinning windmill in his hand as he joins a group of children who are waiting for him.

Your hand dabs the hidden pocket on your cloth. The money pouch is still there. A smell of meat burning attracts you to a nearby shop selling roasted snakes skewers. Flipping a coin to the seller, you take one and bite into it, relishing its chicken-like taste despite the off-putting appearance. A mug of ale from another shop complements the food, making the entire experience complete.

With stomach full, you're about to return to the mansion when you notice a woman staring at you. Upon discovery, she hesitates and then beckons at you to follow her.
