Go to the inn at the edge of the village and ask the innkeeper to lend you a map

You hurry to the inn. It just takes three minutes to get there, but it’s getting cold and the sun is already setting. You rub your naked arms and start shivering with cold. You stand in front of the inn. Loud noises come from inside and as you enter the inn you find at least fifty men quaffing their beer or laughing or staring at you. You shyly walk through the crowd and go straightly to the counter. A fat landlord looks down at you rubbing his beard.

“What do you want, little girl?”

“I wanted to ask if I could borrow a map that shows the way to the Mystic Ponds.”

“The Mystic Ponds? A girl like you? Well, I got a map – but that’ll cost you something.”

You chew your lip. “But … I don’t have any money ...”

“What is that in your belt?” he asks and points at your sword.

“Oh, that is my sword.”

He rubs his beard again. “What do you say? I’ll give you that map for the sword.”
