Go to the Batcave for help.

Stephanie furrowed her brows. How could no one be on comms or in the cave? Something didn't add up. Call it her intuition, but Batman wasn't the type to ghost. Not on his team, and not for good reason.

As the blonde persisted further into the bowels of the inner sanctum, she came up on Bruce's computer chair. The back facing her, the keyboard clacking away.

"Bruce...? Thank god I found you! Where's—" she turned the chair slightly. Her jaw dropped. Her eyes locked not with Bruce's, but with a some blonde girl. A total stranger.

"Who the hell are you?!"

In one swift motion, Spoiler swept the intruder's legs and placed her in a headlock.

"Who sent you? Who are you working for?!"

How did some plain looking chick infiltrate one of the most secure places on Earth? First Bruce and the others aren't responding to comms and now this?

"I-I can explain," the girl stammered.

"Talk!"

"My... my name is... Kara Zor-El. I'm an alien from Krypton!"

"Yeah, right! You mean to tell me you're like Superman? Then tell me," she squeezed harder. "How am I doing this to you?"

Suddenly it felt like she was trying to strangle a brick wall. Before she knew it, the intruder sent her flying, tumbling on her side on the cool metal platform.

"Because I let you," she scoffed, folding her arms. Spoiler flipped to her feet, tossing a batarang, which dinked against Kara's chest and clattered to the floor.

"You really are like Superman..." she pondered. "Why are you here?"

"It's... a long story, Stephanie Brown."

"How did you know my—"

"I am not who I appear to be," she resumed typing.

"The hell is that supposed to mean?"

The alien gestured to the Batcomputer. An image of Batman prominently on display.

"I can't say it directly. Confusing, I know," she pointed to the screen, then back at herself. Stephanie watched the gesture carefully.

"Wait... are you trying to say you're... him?" She glanced between the picture and the girl. "Is this a joke?"

"No, something happened to me," Kara was annoyed too with how vague she had to be. This was the only way to not trigger her programming. Blatantly stating a Kryptonian ship modified her appearance would probably come out as 'I crash landed here a day ago' which would only be more confusing.

"That's really cryptic, you know that, right?"

"There's a reason for it. I can prove to you my identity. Ask me anything not directly related to myself, but something only I would know."

"Hmm.... Alright, I'll play along." Stephanie was curious to say the least. She somehow knew her real name, but that was something she could have obtained from the Batcomputer.

"Okay 'Bruce.' Why did you fire me from being Robin?"

Kara coiled a brow. "Because your heart wasn't in the right place. You were more concerned with getting **** on Cluemaster, your father, than bettering Gotham City."

"How could you possibly know that? Unless you're... Batman?"

Kara nodded, her face showing genuine concern. "I know this is strange, Stephanie. But it's me. I just... look a bit different now," she gestured to her undeniably feminine form.

"If it is you... how did you turn into... this? And why did you tell me your name is Kara earlier?"

"Like I said, long story. I can only refer to myself as Kara Zor-El. I forfeited my true name and mannerisms to preserve the rest of my mind," she explained.

"Someone did this to you? Made you... a Kryptonian girl?" She looked the alien over once again. "How're you dealing with... everything?"

"Yes, an AI did this," she nodded. "Listen, we can deal with my personal situation later. Right now, you need to know Kal-El is compromised."

"Kal-El? Superman, you mean?"

"Yes, my cousin, Kal," she cringed.

"Your cousin...? Was that the mind stuff talking again?"

Kara silently nodded.

"Okay, okay..." Stephanie rubbed the back of her neck. "God this is complicated. What's wrong with Superman?"

"The AI that did this to me messed with Kal's mind somehow. He believes I am Kara Zor-El and I just crash landed on Earth. This AI is obsessed with making me more like... this," she gestured to herself. "There's no telling what it plans to do now that I have escaped, but it's possible that it plans to turn more people into Kryptonians."

"Jesus, Bruce... Er... should I call you Kara? Whatever! We need to find the others! I tried to raise them on comms, no answer."

"Same here. Strange... Red Hood and Nightwing should be patrolling tonight."

"Thought so. Came here to find you and... well, not like this, that's for damn sure."

"Right. We need to find them," Kara turned away from the Batcomputer. Stephanie caught her by the arm.

"Hold on, Bruce. You're going out into Gotham City at night dressed in civvies? There's no telling how long it may take to reverse this. Putting on an alter ego might be best."

"You're right. I was given a costume... when I became... Supergirl," Kara recalled, turning back to the computer. She inputted her measurements, her fingers dancing across the keys with superhuman speed. What would have normally taken her hours to design an entirely new costume took only a few minutes.

DING!

A compartment in the Batcomputer opened, revealing a crimson skirt, cape, and boots along with a cerulean top, Superman's insignia emblazoned on the chest. In a whirl, she was changed, the wind blowing Stephanie's hair back.

"Huh..."

"What is it?" She placed a hand on her hip.

"Didn't expect you to wear something so... girly? I mean you're in a skirt and you can fly so what happens when people look up and see your—"

"Stephanie?"

"Yeah?"

"Shut up."

"Heh, okay Kara..."

"So who are we finding first?"
