The predominant piece of furniture in Mr. Markley's bedroom is his bed. It's a king-sized monstrosity, with wooden bedposts. Iron rings are screwed into the length of each bedpost at one foot intervals, to facilitate restraining students in whatever position he finds useful. A tall glass cabinet sits beside the bed, and a small vanity is nestled in a corner of the room. A narrow staircase leads back down to the living room.
On the vanity are a hair brush, a bottle of perfume, and a tube of red gloss lipstick.
