Mr. Markley's bathroom has a classic bachelor feel to it - it's not dirty, per se, but he leaves things on the sink or the toilet reservoir. The tiles are laid in a black and white diamond pattern. The clawfoot tub looks like an antique, and the medicine cabinet definitely belongs to another era.
It's hard to pinpoint what, exactly, about this room makes you feel very much no longer a member of the male half of the species - maybe it's the razor and shaving cream on the sink, maybe the ties draped over a towel bar, maybe the carton of cigarettes on the shelf - but taken altogether, it all makes you fee very small, and very feminine.
