You walk back to your Lair in a daze. Stumbling into the clearing, you are met with an anxious Dana. "Where did you go?" she asks worriedly, "Is everything alright? You don't look so good." She grabs your arm and guides you further into the clearing to sit down against her bed. "Here, just stay here and rest. What happened to you? Do you need anything?" Despite her obvious concern, Dana doesn't seem quite as frantic as she was the first time she woke without you there. For that, you're thankful. You don't think you'd be able to handle that right now. You don't even think you can handle what just happened. You debate on what to tell Dana. If you tell her the truth, it would just scare here to no end. It's not like what happened last night will put her in danger, right? Dear sun above, you hope so. On the other hand, you don't want to lie to Dana. You're not even sure you could right now, at least not convincingly. You have to tell her something though.
What do you tell Dana?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
