"I would like to spend some more time reading." Samus answered and Alya nodded. Making the mats disappear, she pulled her companion up. In turn, Samus squeezed back. For a brief moment, she swore she caught a blush on Alya's face. "She's so cute like that."

Attempting to shove that thought, Samus was reminded of her dream. Had they been a couple? Absolutely. But that felt preposterous. Samus Aran was a woman beyond emotions and feelings.

At the same time, she had chosen to take on a strange upgrade and all of benefits and no doubt drawbacks. No telling the full capabilities of this upgrade

"Is something the matter?" Alya inquired, snapping Samus out of her train of thoughts. Now at the door, care was taken upon making their exit. Wouldn't want to accidentally hurt oneself at such a pivotal moment.
