Go axe some trees in the woods

Nereus was eager to explore the woods and contribute to the village, so he set off with a small axe slung over his shoulder. The trees towered over him, their branches creaking in the light breeze. He felt small and insignificant, but also humbled by the beauty and power of nature.

As he walked deeper into the woods, he heard the sound of an axe in the distance. Curious, he followed the sound until he came across a clearing where Marcus was chopping wood. They had met briefly at the community hall, but this was the first time they were having a proper conversation.

"Hey, Marcus," Nereus greeted him. "What are you up to?"

"Collecting wood, just like you, I suppose," Marcus said with a smile. "Come help me with this tree, will you.“ you start hacking away at a small birch.

„I've been here for a few years now, and I have to say, I'm living the dream. There's nothing like the freedom and love of this village."

Nereus was intrigued. "What do you mean?"

"Well, it's simple," Marcus said. "We worship Ziva, and we all work together for the community. There are no bosses or hierarchies, just mutual respect and a shared sense of purpose. And the best part? We can love whomever we want, as long as they're willing. No jealousy or possessiveness, just open hearts and open minds."

Nereus wasn't sure how to respond. This was a very different way of life than what he was used to. "What about family?" he asked.

"We're all family here," Marcus said. "We take care of each other and protect our own. That's what makes us strong."

Nereus pondered this for a moment.

„Juno told me you….collect human sperm here? What is that all about?“

Marcus takes another mighty swing at the birch, finally severing the tree from its root.

„Ziva needs worship but also seed to sustain herself. Like the gods at olympus have their nectar and ambrosia, Ziva feeds of our sperm. The silo is there to safe up our stock for an upcoming festival we will hold. But I’m sure Ziva will bless us with a visit long before that. Then you can meet her yourself and you’ll understand.
