Chapter 16
by ShadeWriter
What does Mya do?
Go along with it
"Know what? Sure. So long as he doesn’t freak out or get hurt by it. What did you have in mind?" Mya announced. She was fairly sure Jenny wouldn't do anything wrong but also felt it was a good idea to let the robot have this small bit of mischief now rather than have it build up. Last thing she wanted to do was wake up and see Jenny had gone out clubbing or some other party/adventurous girl idea.
"Okay so let’s get up stairs first. We need something from the closet, or I’ll make it if it’s not there." Jenny said, rushing Mya back to the master bedroom.
"Wait what do you mean, 'make it', cause you don't..." Mya started before Jenny's hands pushed lightly on the woman's back to keep her moving.
"Look with my nanobots I can make a LOT of things though usually they don't last long. So yes, I can make stuff like clothes rather than big weapons. Now move it! We got what 15 minutes or so!" Jenny said, her grin widening as she pushed the mechanic along with her plan.
Her mom would kill her for this but... it was something she wanted to try at least once and she wasn't around.
Dave got off his bike with a huff as he dug out the pizza from his side car. Old Man Heinrich hadn't updated his bikes in..., what 50 years? More? It was a piece of junk that wasn't fun to ride and was a miracle it didn't break down more than twice a day. Heck usually at stop signs or red lights. Why the old pizza baker hadn't tossed his delivery bikes in the trash was beyond him. To top it all off he had to drive off to the way out boonies where no body lived. Anyone out here was either too stupid to make it in the city, too crazy to be bothered, or too smart to be ordering cheap ass pizza.
"Fucking hell, need to see about making the old man stop taking orders from out here." the young man muttered as he walked up to the three story house.
Looked nice enough, and livable. Last time he came out this way he was pretty sure he gave pizza to some weird techno cultist or something. Really weird and freaky with rigged up faces. Gave him chills when he remembered it. They looked a bit too..., perfect and the wires...
"Bleh..., what sort of crazy do I win today." Dave said as he rang the doorbell.
It took a bit, maybe two minutes before someone got to the door. At least he had heard someone call out that they were coming to the door. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad, most people were too eager or too slow. His mouth dropped when the door finally opened to reveal the residents. Black and red, white and cyan; these opposite colors flowed and overlaid from one to the other, perfectly contrasting and yet complementing. The woman on the left had long blue hair that flowed downward, blocking one of her eyes, and a marble white body shined perfectly in the light. The woman on the right had her bright crimson hair puffed up in a big style, and her body like dark chocolate. Each wore an extremely form fitting racing body suit, the colors mirroring their partner’s. The zippers were clearly struggling and the tight fabric showed off their curves like a race course. At least that's what came to Dave's mind..., he was finding it hard to process just what he was seeing.
"Gulp...., uh... uh...pizza delivery." he stammered out. Twin like biker babes was NOT on the expected wheel of weird he had in his head when he got to the door.
"MMM yeah I see that...., I thought we ordered extra meat. Pity." The one on the right said as she took in his appearance.
"Oh come on...., who knows. Maybe he can make up the difference." the one on the left said, with a huge grin, "And we could use the hand in accepting this package..."
"You're terrible." her partner said with a glare.
Dave just blanked out in bit of a sweat. Was this some sort of prank or trick? The whole 'pizza guy sleeps with homeowner' bit from pornos was a bit over done and old school but..., they were right there in front of him. A cough brought him out of his panic. The black woman reached into her cleavage and brought out a card, handing it over. He checked it only to see it was a credit card or stick... or..., okay this was something he could latch onto as a focus. He quickly scanned it and handed it back to the woman who, with a wink, slowly put it back where she fished it out from.
"Sorry about that, no fun for you tonight. But you did get a good treat for the long drive out here didn't you?" She asked.
Her partner snickered as she brought out her own cred stick and pressed it into Dave's hands. "For your trouble and humoring us."
Dave was about to say something when the duo leaned in and gave him a peak on each cheek. He babbled a bit of thanks before swooning his way back to his bike. Maybe the slow ride back was a good thing given how much he'd have to compose himself after that.
"Ah haha that was fun. Did you see his face? Hahaha, I wonder what fantasy he thought he’d be getting. Was kinda cute though, maybe we do it again…," Jenny as she flopped down onto the couch with a plate full of pizza. She brought her hands up to her hair and quickly set it back to her usual pigtail fins.
"Lucky you, it's gonna be a pain for me to get my hair back to normal. By the way if you could..." Mya said as she took her own seat before pointing at her hair.
Jenny nodded and held up a glowing hand. Small bits and pieces started to flow off Mya's hair towards Jenny, the human's color reverting from red back to black as the nanites left her hair. Jenny tossed a small mirror at her which Mya caught and looked at it. A few bits of red were still there but not like the crimson that had been there. Jenny said it would wash out when she fixed up the hair so she wasn't entirely worried.
"I'll ask you to check again after a shower." Mya muttered before taking a small bite before wagging a finger at the robot, "Look I know that was kinda fun, but if you wanna try pulling that stunt again, count me out. This was a one time thing for me. Don’t roll that way, just thought it’d be fun to try." She started to dig into her own plate before Jenny spoke up causing the human to pause.
"Lemme guess, you like em with a bit more meat on them. He did look kinda puny but I’d think he’d have plenty of spunk behind him. Like Sheldon." Jenny explained before she gave a bit of a sigh, "Hhehehe, though I don't know if that's really a good thing looking back on it now. Maybe that's a bit too annoying."
Mya had to chew a bit to make sure she could shallow before answering, "I mean I do like more meat on 'em myself but not on guys." She took a sip from her drink as Jenny craned her neck to the side. The robot started to look like she wanted to say something but stopped herself a few times.
"Eh?" Jenny finally fumbled out. Mya just put her plate to the side and looked Jenny dead on.
"Jenny, I’m a lesbian. I like girls. As in romantically." Mya flatly said.
"…. You can do that?" Jenny asked her eyes widening.
"The hell do you mean?" Mya sputtered out as she stood up with her hands half clenched, "At breakfast you mentioned about implying something by getting matched with you, I would have thought it was obvious that I'm a Lesbian! Hell that's why I asked if this matched implied anything about you GIRL!" All this time and Jenny didn't seem to get what this match actually meant. How could a robot be this stupid?
"Yeah but I mean I thought you were like into bolts and metal not like… chicks. Crikey… guess that explains a few things." Jenny as she scratched at her neck while Mya sat back down with a huff.
The mechanic violently tore into the rest of her pizza slice, using the time to try and figure out how to word the next part, before speaking up again.
"So wait, do you know what a Lesbian is before I told you? Does your world not have Homosexual relationships? No one getting mad or protesting, or anything **** against them?" Mya pointedly asked, her voice a few degrees colder than expected.
"Kinda?" Jenny offered with a slight shrug, "I've seen a few and there's a Gay mayor a couple towns away, nice guy. I dunno about ****, maybe a couple instances but most people just nodded and went about their own business. There was more protesting about dating robots or other non humans than that."
That made a bit of sense. Jenny was from a cartoon world, a scripted world. Even if this Jenny was simply a spin off from the show she'd seen, or the show was simply a spoof of the robot's setting; the type of subject matter wasn't brought up that much. Meaning it shouldn't be a huge issue in her world..., maybe. Eh, multiverse understnading was starting to hurt her head.
"So you thought I was some sort of robo..., I'm sure there's a word for it..." Mya said as she leaned back, fingers gliding over her temples in annoyance and pain.
"Robosexual yeah. There's no real dictionary definition yet but that's what most people use. And yeah, it's kinda frown upon." Jenny said answered back as she reached for her drink. It was still weird to see her drink soda when most the time Mya saw her chugging oil on the show.
"I suppose people can be bigots even if the flavor is changed." Mya said as she laid out on the couch with a sigh, "See, people frown on me for liking girls. Wasn't really popular in school at first and then someone I trusted let it slip, either by mistake or **** into it. In one night went from the greasy garage girl to the bitch biker dyke that no one liked.
"Well some of them did..," Mya snorted as she slapped a hand against the couch as the memory came back, "But they mostly either wanted to try and 'tame' me, or record me making out with another girl. My high-school was full of assholes, and I don't miss them at all save for like a handful." Mya finished before taking a long sip of her own drink. She was gonna need some booze for this.
"So does everyone hate you? Just outright? It can't be the entire world, can it? Cause I, I still get looks just for being a robot... I mean..., " Jenny asked, her words blurted out before she really realized what she said. She tried to cover her mouth but Mya weakly laughed.
"It's fine it's fine, you're... inquisitive. I tend to view that as a good sign at least at the start." Mya answered. She cupped her chin in thought before going on, "Honestly, depends on who and where. Some places it's really hated or banned. Other places it's more open but hush hush or not in public." She gave a weak wave, dismissing that for later, " As for where I lived, well I wouldn't get into legal trouble or face a mob. but I wasn't welcomed everywhere either. Granted in my case, most people already hated me or kept their distance for other reasons. They just took that info as a way to dunk on me even more."
"Ah. I suppose that makes a bit of sense. Different cultures would have different views on it." Jenny replied, her computer brain trying to process what places would be like that in her world.
"Yeah... most the time the usual story is a family breaks up because someone came out of the closet. Dads disowning sons, moms turning on daughters, families shunning that one person; Legally nothing stops them, I mean it's not like you can **** someone to like a person by law but the emotional **** that usually comes with it along with **** and being kicked out of a house is... well..."
"Dark. Got it." Jenny said, not wanting to really process that. She'd seen how easily Brit could cut someone down with words alone but those were classmates or strangers. The idea of someone being that mean to a family member was..., off putting to her. As angry as she'd gotten with her mom about this, Jenny couldn't picture just ignoring her the rest of her life..., maybe just arguing with her.
"Yeah. Not pretty. There's other stories like shops not selling to someone, bullying or beatings, or even murdering that is homosexual. Family and friends turning on someone is the most common one." Mya clarified before motioning towards Jenny, "I suppose that's why I'm so keen on getting you and your mom to talk. I've seen and heard of stories where family just kinda implodes so I at least want you to try talking this out."
There was one question that hung in Jenny's head given all this new info about Mya's world and history. She wasn't sure how to approach this though, other than to just blurt it out. Mya seemed easy to talk to right now anyway. She just really hoped that she wasn't stepping over a line with this question.
"Did..., that happen with your folks?" Jenny asked, her legs crossing each other as she pressed her index fingers together.
Mya thought for a moment about how to respond.
