Go alone

Leanne shook her head apologetically as she began slowly backing away from the man she knew as Dr Seward. After what he’d told her there was no way she could trust him or anyone else for that matter.

She hastily put several metres between them before turning and walking swiftly down the corridor. She had no idea where she was going but she just wanted to get as far away from these people as she possibly could. Further down the corridor Leanne arrived at a set of stairs. The hallway itself continued around the corner, leading to yet another long line of indistinguishable doors. The young woman wasn’t sure what was worse. The chance of who knows what leaping out at her from any one of the bedrooms or going up once more and who knows what awaited her.

Leanne peered cautiously up the staircase. There seemed to be a strange **** telling her to take them. This might have been her heightened imagination but the longer she stared the stronger it became until she shook it off with a shudder.

She looked back to where she’d last seen Dr Seward. He was nowhere in sight and it made her desire to press on even greater.
