Go after the speeder

You try to go after the speeder. But it is hopeless. After a few hours its very direction lost to you.

You start to wonder around the sand. Your suit heated up from the sun.

You think that this is a joke. It has to be. There is no way that she would abandon you: A living resource that could be exploited.

However as you keep walking on all fours, she is nowhere to be found.

And you keep walking.

And walking.

And walking.

Until you collapse on the sand from the exhaustion.

What will happen to you?

As you lose consciousness, you still have hope that she would come back for you. But she just doesn't. Your life extinguished the very spot you collapsed on.

Perhaps you could have done something differently? But what? If through some miracle, you get a second chance, you will be inclined to find out!
