Go To Party

I leave the house and take my car to the party. When I pull up, I see a few other cars there and see that I'm not the first person there. I get out and go to the front door. When I knock on the door, Ashley answers the door.
Me: Hey, Ashley. Where is the party? I'm looking forward to getting this thing started.
She smiles at me. Ashley: Alex, the party is down stairs in the basement. The others are down stairs already. Oh and if you're interested, Lilly is upstairs in her room. She winks and then laughs.
She walks away to go downstairs and join everyone else. As I shut the door, I wonder if I should go upstairs or if I should just join the party. Then I could do some looking around while everyone is busy.
