You plaster on a fake smile and walk towards the table, you have no idea why she's here but if she's trying to use your assumed naivety to swindle more money out of your family then she's in for a rude awakening.

So focussed on her, you almost did not notice the other two people sat on the left side of the table next to her. They both look to be in their early 20s, are dressed formally and you notice cynically, are also very attractive. One is a brunette with aristocratic features, a raised cheekbone and dark stormy eyes whereas the other is a blonde with softer features and seems to be the much more approachable of the two.

'So what brings you here Emilia?' You question as you pull out your chair and sit down next to her, directly opposite the brunette.

'Can't I come and check in on my dear friend's son? It must be a huge shock for you and I just wanted to confirm if you were ok, I'm worried about you.'

Just seeing her fake concern makes you grit your teeth 'I'm fine and besides, I have too many things to deal with to worry about that.'

'You know you can always come to me if you need help, I'll do anything I can to help you. '

Anything to leech more money off me more like. 'Well I thank you for your offer, and I'll let you know if anything comes up.' With your appetite now lost, you begin to stand up before Emilia places one manicured hand over yours.

'You haven't had breakfast yet silly, and we haven't even caught up yet.'

How you wish you could just storm out of the room.
