Really Good Ideas

I had nothing to feel guilty about. Jamal was my direct report, after all. I hadn’t hacked his computer. As his manager, I was authorized to access it.

Granted, I had done so because I suspected he was building a case that he should be a manager too, reserving his best ideas for when he was in direct competition with me. But if he was coming up with ideas on the company computer on company time, he didn’t have any right not to share them with his manager!

And, sure enough, there on his hard drive was a folder labeled 'Really Good Ideas'. I thrilled at the discovery and opened it, sure that if anyone was getting promoted, it would be me.

The screen started flashing pink as soon as I opened it. I frowned, confused. But I kept staring at the screen as it flashed. There were good ideas in there somewhere, I was sure of it. Really good ideas. I just needed to stare at the screen while it flashed pink and the really good ideas would come to me. Lots of really good ideas, somewhere there in the pretty flashing lights.

I blinked and shook my head when the computer shut down. I had so many great ideas! The first one was to leave work and go shopping. I could skip the meeting with Mr. Park. I needed a wardrobe change!

Animal prints. Animal prints that showed off my tits. That was a really good idea. Calling my boobs tits was a really good idea too.

"That is a Really Good Idea, Gina," Jamal agreed, to my delight. "And afterwards, I'm sure you'll have lots of other Really Good Ideas."

I was sure he was right.
