Gift of prophecy: Geodsight

You told him that at times, Geod himself granted you visions and clarity, much like Nephilin himself experienced, though in a more limited fashion. It could be called prophecy, or perhaps clairvoyance, but these visions often guided you towards safety or even personal profit. Sometimes, they guided you to confusing things you couldn’t explain the significance of, but such was the whim of Geod.

“Squire Lavender, this is quite a blessing. Geodsight is rare indeed. Difficult to call upon and at times difficult to act upon, but it is the source of our current prosperity. It is the only way in which we directly commune with our creator and receive His instructions. What better aid could one ask for in one’s quest?” He rested one arm on the desk and frowned. “I’m not telling you anything new, am I?”

You chuckled, but he didn’t laugh back in response.

“Well, now, maybe I will tell you something you haven't heard before, so open up your ears. A prophet with Geodsight is not immortal. The church talks about it little, but plenty with Geodsight were slain by the demon lord’s hellspawn. Do not think yourself to be invulnerable because of this gift. Geod works in mysterious ways, and that includes letting fools get cut down to their ankles by the dark one’s **** knights if they don’t keep their wits about them. Geod informs and protects you. But he can only inform and protect you so much as you protect yourself.”
