What's next?
Getting answers.
The flight to the Helicarrier was a short one, The Fantasticar had followed the shuttle not halfway out of the Manhattan Island airspace when they found themselves being escorted by two SHIELD piloted fighters that took up ither side of them. Being cautious, Reed continued to follow the shuttle until they all came to a slow descent over the runway of the massive Helicarrier and landed, with the blue painted wheelless vehicle emblazoned with the ‘4’ on its hull touching down on the tarmac. The moment they touched down and the ramp door yawned open for the Fantastic Four to exit, a squad of SHIELD agents were already there to greet them, armed and ready and waiting for them.
Much to their annoyance…
“Yeah… Yeah… We get it!” Snorted Ben as he was the first to exit the ramp, followed by Johnny then Reed and Susan. The four making their way past the overprotective guards to follow in step with Fury and their prisoners in tow. Said prisoners were on gurneys and strapped down, their collars around their necks preventing them from moving or using any of their abilities.
“You four, come with me.” Barked Nick Fury over to the team, the Fantastic Four following after the SHIELD director as they made their way inside the Helicarrier and followed their prisoners to be detained in confinement. “We’ll be bringing them to the brig for holding, from there we can have ourselves a little friendly chat with our guests you brought here.”
“We didn’t invite them Director.” Corrected Reed as they boarded an elevator and made their way deeper into the ship. “They came here by themselves through the portal.”
“Yeah!” Spoke up Johnny. “We had nothing to do with it!”
“Whether they knocked, rang the bell or kicked the door open, it was YOUR door they stepped through.” Explained the SHIELD director giving the four a stern, waiting for the elevator to reach their desired floor when the elevator stopped, and the metal doors opened for them to exit. “The LOT of you have been sitting on a pile of doomsday weapons and we’ve done absolutely nothing about it.”
“I don’t believe that’s really…”
“Reed! The last time someone came out of that portal you built in that home garage of your, one of them murdered half the crew of my ship! And another tried to create hell on Earth…” The man pointed accusingly back at Mr. Fantastic, then steeled his attention towards a sullen Invisible Woman. “You should all be grateful I didn’t just arrest your whole damned family that night. At least I have the cold comfort in knowing that the portal is in OUR hands and the worst of your little guests are under our supervision.”
“What are you going to do?” Asked Ben, the only one not looking down in shame when they finally made it to the brig where the prisoners were taken off their gurney’s and laid on the floor of their cell. When the last of the staff were no longer in the room, it was sealed over with a massive door with a see-through window big enough to see them all, just as it closed shut with a hiss of pressurised air.
Looking over his shoulder to the Fantastic Four behind him, Nick Fury presented a small remote device in his gloved hand to show off to the family of heroes.
“Take control.”
With a simple press of a button, the four collars worn by the Sinister Susans jolted them awake with an electric shock. Immediately the four villainesses woke with a start, practically clawing at their collars and being rewarded with another shock for their troubles. Looking up to the man with an eye patch and wearing a dark jacket, the four immediately knew who they were dealing with and where they were.
Pounding her fist against the bulletproof plexiglass window, Electro screamed out in rage. “WHEN I GET OUT OF HERE, I AM GOING TO FUCKING FRY YOU UNTIL YOUR BONES ARE CHARCOAL!”
“Yes… But not before I fillet you like fish!” Growled the taller of the four, eyeing the man like a lioness would a rival as she pressed her hands against the glass and glared down at him. “Wait… I KNOW one like you.”
“Yes… The eyepatch, the scowl, the overinflated control complex.” Condor smirked, scratching her chin in thought as she hobbled over to the window like some spindly buzzard. “You are a Fury.”
“Yes… I recognize you now.” Kraven spoke, still retaining the razor’s edge in her voice. “My Fury was woman, but equally distasteful.”
“Ugh… He even REMINDS me of that fucker!” Scowled Electro, still clenching her fists when she tried to conjure her electrical powers… And getting nothing. “What did you do to me?”
Wriggling the remote between his fingers to get their attention, Fury continued to scowl at the ladies he had in his supervision. “You ladies have done enough damage, you are all wearing control collars with built in dampeners, these prevent you from using any of your little tricks, they also allow me to do this.”
Pressing the button again, the four villainesses were given a severe electric shock that sent them into convulsions, some so bad that the Condor fell to her knees.
“Come ON man, even that’s…”
A stern gaze from Fury’s single eye silence the Human Torch when he finally took his thumb off the remote. “YOU are going to tell me where your other two freaky friends are or else you are going to have nervous twitching for the rest of your lives. Start talking.”
Trading looks and slowly, silently deciding together, the four versions of Susan Storm behind the glass nodded and got back to their feet. “You can find the Octopus on Governor’s Island; she is making our doorway OUT of this poor excuse for a shithole!”
“We do not know where Goblin is… Madwoman does not know where SHE is half the time.” Explained Kraven, eyeing the remote in Fury’s hand as she growled under her breath.
Crossing her arms, Mysterio snorted and looked away overdramatically. “Bitch is a freaking loon even at the best of times.”
Giving the four a steely look from his single eye, Fury then turned his attention to the Fantastic Four behind him, reading their reaction to the answer given, then to a communicator from his jacket. “Hill? Respond. I want you to bring three squads to governor’s island to apprehend one of our guests. Get prepped in 10 minutes.”
Looking back over to his prisoners, Fury scowled back at them as he made to leave the brig. “Enjoy your stay ladies. You won’t be here for long.”
“I would like to stay here to continue speaking with them Director.” Spoke up Reed as he watched the man leave. “I have many questions of my own regarding how they got here.”
“Go ahead… I wasn’t planning on letting you leave either.” Nodding over to the SHIELD personal in the room, the Fantastic Four found several of the agents with their hands at their weapons at the ready. “I’m sending a shuttle over to your place to pick up your OTHER guests along with your kids, you’ll be all here under my supervision until they can all be sent back one and for all.”
“Now wait just a damned…”
Ignoring the Thing’s protest as the door closed and locked behind him, Fury made his way down the hallway where Maria Hill joined him on his walk back to the control center of the ship.
“Shall we be detaining the Richards family as well sir?” The woman asked as the pair walked past a metal door yawning open for them to continue down the hallway. All around them SHIELD staff scattered when they spotted the pair. “We have more collars on hand just in case.”
“Pff! And have them tear this ship apart like last time?! Better that they think they’re guests than prisoners, they’ll be easier to handle while we clean up the mess they caused.”
Finally reaching the bridge of the ship, Fury took his seat at the center of the control room, a SHIELD agent coming by with a report on hand. Checking on the current status of the portal device and his top engineer’s understanding of it. And finding they had nothing new to give him. Even the best scientists under his employ were just kids with junior chemistry sets compared to Reed Richards. They could barely comprehend Stark or Pym’s works let alone Richards.
“It’ll probably take them five years just to understand how to use it let alone how it works…” Fury muttered under his breath, passing the report back to the Agent as he slumped back into his chair. “Not that it matters. That thing is better in our hands than with Richards.”
Looking out onto the city view, Fury narrowed his one good eye. “Sooner those two are contained the better…”

She stepped back to admire her work, her arms crossed under her chest with a gloved finger tapping her lip in harsh scrutiny in her work, checking for anything that seemed off. She had to make due with what she could get her many hands on, and much of it she had to creative to make work. But overall, the end product of her efforts bore fruit.
seeing the end results of two hours of hard work done by her tentacles and sharp intellect, a smile graced her lips at last. It was finally complete. Using stolen technology from Stark industries, she had hobbled together a portal to forward her plans.
“Excellent. And now to wait for everyone to come here, so we can leave this ball of dirt.”
Hearing the thrum of engines outside the building, Doctor Octopus raised an eyebrow as she looked around, hearing the activity outside and the sounds of feet marching towards her hideout.
“Hmm, faster than expected.” She chuckled. “I was worried I would have to pass the time listening to the evening news.”
The wooden shed doors of the building were blasted open, with SHIELD agents flooding through the opening with weapons up and aimed straight at her head. Where many of them were barking at her to surrender. Her smirk never leaving her pursed lips, the blonde woman slowly fell to her knees with her hands over her head like they commanded. Letting her mechanical limbs fall to the ground limp and motionless.
“I surrender.”
