Getting Clean

"D'Hayv?"

Dave swallowed and replied, "Yes Kea?" leaning on the otherside of the door to the bathroom. He'd practically tripped over his own tongue and feet upon hastily exiting, apologizing the whole way. He should have knocked or announced himself some how. It was a poor excuse but he'd been living alone for far to long... and his libido thought so too. He was as hard as a rock as the image of the small, green bombshell and her devastating smile was burned into his mind.

He heard running water start in the shower and tried not to picture rivulets of water and soap running down green skin as he heard her tentatively ask "What "Wow"? Good?"

He facepalmed remembering his exclamation at seeing her. "Wow is Good. No. Wow is... Good-Good-Good."

Kea grinned. She was disappointed that D'Hayv hadn't joined her... but not disappointed with his reaction. And now she knew. He saw her as "Wow" and that was very, very good apparently! She felt the same way about him! And also-

"Wow," she said as the warm water washed over her. There were many amazing things in this world and the things they did here with hot water were among them! Baths, showers and more. They beat washing in a cold stream almost any day. Not that that didn't feel nice on a hot day but the rest of the time was less pleasant or dangerous if it was cold out.

*Not to mention the soap of this world!* she thought as she happily scrubbed the grime and filth off. *Or the "Shampoo" stuff! And that's not all.* She looked over to where D'Hayv had left one of those "teeth brushes" next to the paste thing for cleaning mouths. Not for the first-time she thought that the alchemists of this world were impressive in their potion making. Much of it devoted to cleaning and medicine. It had seemed so fussy to some of the girls at first but the cleaning rituals were among the first things "Ahwiooo" taught them and honestly? Once they grew accustomed they all agreed they were pretty wonderful.

After cleaning herself throughly she stepped out of the shower feeling refreshed and invigorated. Getting clean, eating good food and most of all finding somewhere safe and a wonderfully considerate mate... she felt the tension of the last who-knew-how-many-days ebb away.

Having finished cleaning up, she dried off and wrapped herself with the clean fluffy towels. *And now...* She thought looking at the clothes she'd been given. She wiped down the stool with her old rags and used it to search through the bathroom. She could use the knife and needle she'd made from scavenged scrap but neither were very good and she felt the clothes deserved better than being sawed and torn into. She grinned as she finally found sharp scissors and a few fine needles and thread.

She turned towards the door. "D'hayv?"

She heard rustling and something lightly touch the door before his voice said in a reassuring tone, "I'm right here Kea. You're safe. Dave is good. Is Kea good?"

She smiled placing her hand on the otherside of the door between them. He was protecting, gaurding her and waiting for her. Giving her peace of mind. Everything was "good"... and he'd keep it that way for her. Help her in anyway he could. Love, devotion, kindness and thoughtfulness. Add those qualities to the tenderness, care and the desire she could feel from him. She had chosen well.

"Kea good," she reasured him. "D'Hayv good. All good-good."

She heard his reply and the tone sounded happy. "All good-good," he agreed. "Take all the time and anything else you need, Kea."

She understood the gist of what he was saying. There was no hurry. He was happy waiting for her.

She grabbed the clothes and held the sweatshirt up in front of her looking in the big mirror. She grinned grabbing the sharp scissors. She wouldn't make him wait long!
