"First question, and it's a little obvious." You motioned toward the doorway, where Amanda had departed from. "Why were you hiding in your assistant? And moving her around, what's that about?"

"Ah, yes." Chloe sips a little more of the soda as she strolls along a bit. "You've studied the smart gelcaps in detail, so you should know that the organic matter that makes them function lasts a short amount of time unless kept inside living matter, which is why they are so effective at administering medicine in a body. Well, I'm not so different--the gelcaps are essentially like simplified versions of myself, they use nutrients and the structure of a more solid host to extend their lifespan. I have to do the same--by being attached to the body in some way, I absorb nutrients, which makes it so I can last much longer disconnected from any body at all, just like right now."

You blinked, tapping your chin in thought. Had you not been familiar with the gelcaps, the concept would've been a bit more shocking, but it seemed your inquisitive side seemed to override the concern about an intelligent being entering and piloting another. "So, essentially, to live, you need to be inside Amanda."

"Not necessarily inside her, but either inside or mostly enveloping her. Doesn't have to be her, could be any human really. But, just like the gelcaps but multiplied by like a million, I'm extremely versatile on and in a body! Firstly, if I'm in a body? I'm a super-charged immune system. My hosts cannot get sick, I can fix internal injury, I can correct issues and problems with a body from the inside. I can regulate you better than your body can--like I can make you feel more energetic, rested, stronger or faster! And if I take control, I have a lot of talents I can perform in a body."

It wasn't lost on you that she stopped saying 'my host' and started referring directly to you after a while. You sort of figured you knew where that was going... but you still had more to know, there was so much that she was saying that grabbed your attention.

"But, you don't have to be on the inside of a body to survive?"

Chloe nods again. "I can just wrap around someone too, if I cover all or most of the body then I can absorb energy at a lower rate. It's not too low if I fully encase a body in my slime, but to make it easier, I can alter my slime into various structures that mimic fabrics. If someone doesn't mind wearing green, at least, I can easily pose as an outfit and at the very least I'll keep living." Chloe grins with a little wink. "But, maybe that's enough of an info-dump. How about I show you something instead? Anything you want, whatever you're comfortable with. If you want to run any tests, or I can show you what I can do inside or outside your body."
