Get rid of the sound!

Once outside his mind raced to the pain, or rather to the ideas he had of how to get rid of it. This was no mere alarm clock, ripping him out of the bed. This was **** in its purest form.

He looked around, almost spinning, trying to locate the source of it. This had to be some fiend, maybe mind control waves, or maybe an invisible beam of doom that he could hear due to his high perception. Speaking of which, he opened his inventory, checking if he had already spend enough time so he gained at least a bit of mana, enough to observe his surroundings at least. What he got though was the answer, straight in his face. A shining light right from the upper right corner of his inventory screen, bright enough to blind him for a second or two.

"The fuck..." he mutters, just to stop himself, knowing that Vanessa most certainly had not noticed anything going on.

Then he adjusted his vision and managed to tap the light source. Instantly both the bell and the light disappeared. Instead four messages popped up.

Skill Level up, Arouse, Level 2

Arouse now stays active for 10% longer timer, when cast while in contact with the person. This bonus becomes 20% when in direct contact with the persons private parts.

He quickly read it and then closed it away, not seeing anything that explained the situation.

Modifier Level up, Overcharged ~, Level 2

You now regenerate 10% of your normal mana regeneration in the downtime that follows the use of an overcharge.

Again, very nice, but nothing to explain the situation he was in. He looked at the next.

New Modifier, Chain casted ~, Level 1

Chain casting a skill requires you to use it repeatedly until you run out of mana. You may not stop using it once you started the chain casting. If the skill has preparation time, you have to spend the added preparation time for all uses before casting the first skill, and then you may use them all without further time spend to prepare.

The effect of all skills used as a chain casting are 1% stronger, than the skill used directly before.

Note: This value is equal to this modifiers level.

Note: Skills that do not have mana cost will recieve the mana cost of 1mp/use if being chain casted

Note: If your mana regeneration is high enough for you to not lose mana during a chain casting of a skill, the bonus strength gets doubled, as does the skills cost, when it is being chain casted.

Awesome, this sounded really neat, but he felt repetetive as his first thought was: Not even remotely explaining why the fuck his head felt like he had been knocked out by a baseball bat a minute ago.

And now he was done with holding back. In a rage that overtook him, he punched against the next wall. -7 hp. The fuck? That mental **** was his own ability, reminding him of fucking missed notifications? Dear god was he thankfull there was no way to get spam mails, or he would have to read them all.

With almost forcefull pushes into the menu, he pressed the buttons to go into the settings sub menu, selecting that the reminder may apply every 10 days (he couldn't turn them off completely) and he expanded the exception of 'not send reminders while in an illusion barrier' to 'not send reminders, when in presence (500 meter) of other human beings'. Hoping that those would turn off all reminders for good. Just to be sure, he also found the slide bar for the maximum intensity of those reminders and he put them to the minimum. He was shaken at the fact that they had been below the middle of the bar just now. Just how painfull could they get, if he pushed it all the way up? And why would he ever do that?
