Chapter 2 by Iggy-D-Writer Iggy-D-Writer

Who happens upon the necklace? And how?

Gemma and Zoey, While sorting through stock.

Gemma found herself, as she often does, in the back of an old dusty antiquities store. While she was currently working it would be wrong to call her a worker. She was doing a favour, unpaid, for her friend Zoey, who ran the store.

Not that Gemma minded much. She had always had a love for history. She could often be found in libraries buried in large text books, or locked in her room researching old battles.

She was a quiet, introverted sort, and her style matched that. Long skirt and a brown sweater over a white shirt. Short brown hair combined with a pair of glasses sat on a pale freckled nose, in front of two dull hazel eyes.

Zoey was her exact opposite. Wild and eccentric were two words often thrown around to describe her. She was often found around or at the heart of loud and eye catching events. Unfortunately she was also the inheritor of her family's business, an old antique store. A quiet enviroment that did not suit her liking.

Unlike Gemma who dressed to try and blend in with a crowd Zoey wore clothes that meant to draw attention. A bright crop top matched with short shorts that gave new meaning to the word. Wild red hair brushed her mid back, and a pair of emerald green eyes set into a slightly tanned face that always seemed to have some mischievous plan or vulgar comment on mind.

"Thanks again Gemma, you're a total lifesaver" Zoey commented as she did a once over on the list of new items brought in. As she did Gemma finished sorting the last of the antiques into the boxes.

"Oh, it's no problem at all!" She shrugged, "I'm honestly pretty jealous. I'd love nothing more then to be surrounded by these things"

Zoey scoffed at this. "Yeah right! Even you couldn't stand the boredom for as long as I have to" she complained, as Gemma seemed to shrug off this idea.

As she was about to put away the last item Zoey suddenly stopped her. "Hey, that's not on the list" she pointed out. Confused, Gemma looked down at what was in her hands.

It was a necklace, and by the looks of things not exactly an "antique". A simple silver chain holding a silver pendant with a somewhat sizeable blue gem set into it. It had a shine to the metal that didn't suggest much age.

"Well, what should we do with it?" Gemma asked, unsure what the next steps should be. Zoey however seemed to already have a solution in mind.

"Well if it's not on my list, then it's not stock for the store" she reasoned, "Thus, it's up for grabs! Just gotta figure out which on of us is walking out with it..."

Who ends up taking the necklace?
