Gearing up for your hack

You've finally cobbled together what looks like an actual server rack, with two old routers you got for free a long time ago, and an old layer three switch for local connectivity.

You managed to find an honest to goodness enterprise level server from the local surplus store for dirt cheap. You just had to buy some new hard drives for it, install Linux, and you're in business. You even went out of the way to rig up some dead-man degaussers. If anything was disturbed, the heavy magnets would go off, scrambling all data in seconds.

With your setup complete, you get to work setting up all the defenses Aurora's going to need for her heist... And you let her test your digital defenses after you're done. If she didn't already know your setup... She'd be shut down before she even got started, that's how good it is.

"Hey. You did good on our setup, Jack." Aurora says.

"Heh.. yeah. Helps I don't have blockers or other external constraints. Everything is run through tor as well as several bounces of vpn. We're untraceable. Well, as good as I can make it, anyway. So, what's our next step, a targeted phishing campaign? Against whom? I'd bet many of the employees at AWIO have nothing to do with this. We'd be better off with a more firm target." You reply.

"Yeah, I agree. For now, I write up our custom backdoor and data exfiltration program. I'll test it on one a virtual machines we can stand up." Aurora says.

"Alright. You're the best. I guess for now, we wait and spread rumors that Mazl is dead."You say before you motion to your renewed body, "I honestly don't know who I can go out with like this and accomplish this task without revealing you by going out with Molly or revealing Mazl, and Josh hasn't called yet with the all clear."

"Remember what I told you, Jack? Just head out with Mazl and use her fake name. Your name is already anonymous so you're like new people. Go on, take her out on the dates she deserves." Aurora chimes in.

You nod and link arms with Mazl. "Right. Shall we?' you ask, ready to head out and face the day.
