Gathered together

Seated around a large table, you finally feel relief. The journey from the capital, while not particularly difficult, was still stressful. Now, you realize, it feels like you’re home. As everyone chats, you look around the table.

Alex, Cassie, and Sarah are laughing as they talk, and the snippets you catch tell you that they’re focusing on activities for later this evening. The three of them, all so different l, and yet so similar. Alex, full of energy and always up for adventure, as long as it involves sex, fighting, or fire. Cassie, the youngest, also energetic, but also with a youthful optimism about everything, and a compassionate nature to go along with her healing powers. And Sarah, older, but no less wolf, eager to experience all that she can with her new companions. Sarah sees you looking their way, and the hellhound gives you a wink. You chuckle, blowing her a kiss, which makes her smile. You’re glad to see her inclusion in the group going so well.

You turn your eyes towards the next group. Captain Ben and Bella, having a conversation with Victor and Amara. You note that Victor has slipped his arm casually around the earth spirit’s waist, and Ben is holding hands with Bella. These four are probably the closest friends you have that don’t share a bed with you, and it’s good to see them all smiling. Victor, especially, seems to be practically floating, never more than a few steps from Amara. You listen for a moment, as they catch each other up on the events of the past few weeks.

Finally, you look to your side, to the pair that you’re probably closed with. Melora, the only human in your…harem? Family? Whatever you call it, you’ve had a special bond with her since that first day, when the then blind seer ran her fingers over your features. With her eyes restored, you can see the adoration when she looks at you, even as she speaks with Ferra.

Ferra. Literally created for you, and molded by your actions. You look at the red haired golem, who even now is resting a possessive hand on your thigh. You wonder what would have happened had you treated her like an object, rather than a person, but dismiss the thought immediately. Ferra’s personality, her love, is everything you could have hoped for, and she means the world to you now.

Melora sighs, shaking her head. “It was hard for all of us, Ferra. I understand why you want to protect him, but what happens if it goes wrong, and you get badly hurt, or worse?”

Ferra shrugs. “I would happily give my life to keep Nicholas safe. I failed once. It will never happen again.”

Melora reaches out and takes Ferra’s hand. “It wasn’t your fault. You know that. Ferra, we all care about you. You can’t keep taking these risks. Today, that…being. He could have cut you to pieces with those blades.”

Ferra shakes her head. “It does not matter. Without him, I am nothing. My life before harm can even look at him.”

She looks at you, her orange eyes full of emotion. “I cannot lose you again, Nicholas. You made me what I am. I love you, and I am yours, body and soul. I will protect you, no matter what.”

You hug Ferra to your chest, and you can feel her trembling slightly. Your capture affected her badly, and it’s a wound that will take a long time to heal, if it ever does. You share a glance with Melora, and you see a similar look in her eyes. You realize that she might care about Ferra almost as much as you do.

Looking around the table, you see that conversation has stopped, and everyone is watching the small drama playing out. Shaking your head, you break the sudden somber mood.

“So, how about we figure things out tomorrow. I think we have other things to do right now.”

Alex giggles. “Yeah, each other!”

Cassie claps her hands, bouncing in her seat as her colors change to pink. “Ooooh! Is it orgy time?!”

Victor laughs. “I think that’s our cue to leave, dearest.”

Amara winks at him. “I suppose, although it would be fun to watch!”

Bella shakes her head. “I’ll pass on that. Adopted or not, I’d rather not be involved in my daughter’s sex life.”

She smiles at Ben, playfully tugging his beard. “Besides, we have plans of our own…”

Cassie makes a gagging noise. “Ugh, mom!”

Sarah giggles. “You’re the one who brought up the subject of orgies.”

Cassie huffs, crossing her arms over her chest. “That’s different! It’s not like…mmmph!”

The chameleon girl is muffled by Sarah’s lips, as the hellhound leans over and kisses her deeply. Cassie stiffens for just a second in surprise, before throwing her arms around the larger girl.

The older couples take that as their signal, and make their way out, laughing. Meanwhile, you look to Ferra and Melora.

“Well? What do you think?”

Ferra looks up at you, her eyes burning with a very different emotion, giving you all the answer you need from her. Melora, meanwhile, licks her lips, and gives you a sultry look.
