Gaby is the youngest daughter of Mathew and Amanda. She was eventually diagnosed as a PH-2 fish. Pethood Borderline Syndrome caused some initial doubts about whether she was a PH or PO. After her final phenotest results, she eventually formed the Cerulean Aquatic Show Team to turn need into virtue and also raise awareness for PH-2 fish pets and aquatic PH-2 pets in general. She is also an honourary Life Guard at Cerulean Beach.

Hannah is the oldest daughter of Mathew and Amanda. After high school, she continued her education at Cerulean State College. But after her sister tested as PH-2 fish, she accepted a SPCP grant for Owl College with the aim to eventually spearhead an aquatic PH-2 research facility at Cerulean Beach and also serve as an SPCP specialist for Cerulean Beach Area in support of the local SPCP representative. She was always the more scholarly of the Star sisters.

Hannah Star

• As Office Manager she spends most of her time behind her desk dealing with the administration and receiving custom tank clients. She usually wears a casual suit with a shirt or jacket (when she wears one). Like her daughters she has curves that make it so that her shirt and jacket are nicely filled out.

• Although he holds the rank of Shop Manager (on equal footing with Amanda), he prefers easy work clothes because he’s usually found working on something or other for a commissioned custom tank.

Amanda and Mathew are the parents of Hannah and Gaby. They run Cerulean Acrylic Tanks (CAT), a company that makes custom-designed tanks/aquariums. She was born in Cerulean Beach as Amanda Hill. He came from Hulburry Beach, Bowhill State. She was employed in a Pet-4-Pet shop in neighbouring city where she met Mathew who was commissioned to carry out some changes to the Pet-4-Pet Shop.

Name: Miranda Star

• As a PH-1 fish pet, Miranda picks clothes that remind her of the ocean. She wears her hair as blond waves running down her back. When not working as a hostess at the CAT store, she spends as much time in the water as she can. Because of that she used to wear beachy outfits. But Gaby's PH-2 transformation inspired Miranda to wear rash guards that mimic scales. She adds a wrap-around skirt to work at CAT.


Miranda is the PH-1 pet of the Star household. If it was just luck, coincidence or synchronicity we'll never know but at the time Hannah left for college the local SPCP representative contacted Amanda and Matthew if they were open to adopting a PH-1 fish pet. Over the years she has become like a second sister to Gaby especially as both are fish pets. She chose to take on the Star family name. She also acts as hostess for the CAT store alongside Ginger.

When the demand for smaller, off-the-shelf tanks kept growing, Amanda and Mathew opened a store with off-the-shelf products (including aquarium fish). Obviously they needed someone to run the store. Amanda and Mathew hired Ginger, and she has been working there ever since she left college.

Because she regularly has to dip into tanks to fish out what clients want, she rather quickly crossed regular retail employee clothing from her list as being unpractical. She also needs to go up and down a ladder regularly, so skirts are also a nah-uh. Her work wardrobe consisted out of pants and polos. Until Miranda showed up dressed in rash guard … That got Ginger thinking. After some asking around, she approached Amanda with the question of if she could also have a rash guard … so now she wears pants and a rash guard in company colours.

Even when she was still at the SPCP Training Center she wasn’t big on pomp and circumstance. Thus when she finished her training as SPCP Inspector she chose the mostly rural regional office in the little coastal town of Cerulean Beach as her assignment instead of a big city office. Sure, big city offices have more standing, but at a price she wasn’t willing to pay. She much preferred the casual vibe of a small office. And small it was. She was the whole office. Luckily, she quickly developed a good rapport with the local PCI branch downtown. As a matter of fact, you’re more likely to find her there unless, of course, she’s needed in her office next door. And it looks like fate came knocking in the form of the Star family. Now plans are in the work for the founding of an aquatic pet center with a special focus on PH-2 pets.
