Susan made her way down to dinner alone, leaving the musicians in their bed to sleep off bellies full of milk. Her milk. This new life, new reality that had been thrust upon her still made her head hurt. Only a few days ago she was Susan Wagner, daughter of one of the most wealthy businessmen in the world and now she was some kind of cow.

It was still better than the alternative she supposed, she didn't know if her mind could take another thousand years of isolation. Couldn't judge how far her sanity had already been bent by what she'd suffered before.

The form complete she looked out across her office and willed a tight focus on her from the projection to the audience and brought up the options on a glowing translucent screen beside her.
