Try to GET OUT OF DETENTION

GET OUT OF DETENTION 5+5, 10: You serve your time.

Chapter 57 by fyreant fyreant

A while longer and you consider that you are actually starting to get BORED in here, with this state of affairs. In spite of the way your brother played it up, you are starting to think that perhaps he (like you, truth be told) is a bit of a sheltered aristocrat, and Kinzy, unpleasant a girl though she may be, is correct about this being a pretty typical holiday market, and that the ways of the mundanes, though shocking at first glance, aren't all that incomprehensible. In fact, giving Aegidius the benefit of the doubt, perhaps, motivated by brotherly love, he has just been playing up the danger of this situation as a way to scare you straight and make your punishment out to be worse than it is... The alternative, of course, is that he is a genuinely kook with an irrational degree of animus against these poor, ignorant people who already lead such deprived lives without access to magic. With those being the options you will cautiously assume the former, for now.

Indeed, these shuffling, distracted multitudes seem quite far from the terrible, warlike despoilers that he or even Kinzy painted them as. So far as you can tell, none of them carry any form of weapons, not even a short sword, dagger, or even a sturdy staff. How on earth do they feel safe going traveling for miles on end with no tools to defend themselves? What if they should happen upon a member of a rival family? Do they just beat on each other with their fists as drunks and rowdy little boys are wont to do?

You notice that the segment of the line nearest you is being watched over by that hapless first-year Milly Cherrywood. Since the lines are shortening you suppose that you might as well introduce yourself to her... and, perhaps, put yourself in position to have a bit of fun with her if Felice drifts back around, since you sincerely doubt that getting off just once will be enough for her to behave herself the rest of the day.

Milly sees that you are looking at her and smiles awkwardly. You decide to make the first move and nod your head slightly. "Erm... Miss Cherrywood. I have not yet had the chance but I suppose I should say, I am sorry for getting you into this."

She cocks her head to the side as if confused, then shrugs. "Oh! You're serious? C'mon Francisca, you didn't do anything I didn't. I killed a bunch of elves too. And, um, I think I maaay have been one of the first to accept your invitation? Even though it was pretty much the first time we'd had more than a word or two with each other and we hadn't even been properly introduced?" She blushes and runs her hand along the back of her head. She bends forward and waggles her bottom from side to side. "Ooooh... in fairness to me, I mean, I thought it was something that everybody was expected to do. I'm not from this country either so, um, I didn't want to be rude by saying no. Come to think of it, I think those Beavertail boys who, ahh, met up with me on my first day at the academy were counting on me not knowing that. Those damn Minervals making fun of me just because I was trying to be polite and follow local customs..." she pouts and looks down at her feet. "Milly 'Lost-her-cherry-in-the-hallway' doesn't even rhyme and it's too long for a legitimate nickname, in my opinion."

There's a moment of awkward silence. "Y-yah!" you agree sharply. "Could not agree more. I have had nothing but trouble with them. I only invited so many because I hoped zhey would get drunk, fuck someone that goes against their reputation, and gossip about each other!"

Milly smiles, showing that she has a prominent gap in her front teeth. "Wow! That's really clever! High five!" You raise an eyebrow. She holds up her hand... then, awkwardly, when you stand there stock still, reaches down, grabs your hand where it's hanging low, and brings it up to slap her palm painfully hard against yours. "Yeahhhhh." she says in a weird-sounding tone as if she's trying to cheer and whisper at the same time. "Anyway! I hope we can still be friends. I don't have a roommate because of this whole thing with my parents... see, the school paired me up with a roommate that they said was unacceptable for me to share a space with, and somehow I always get off on the wrong foot with most girls in my classes..."

"Unacceptable? Ooooohhh... you mean mundane-born?" you say, whispering in a low tone of voice.

"Nah, it's because she was black. Seems that mom and pop weren't aware that those people would be here seeing as the school's in England."

"...Ah." you say, eyes bulging a little, though you manage to force a smile. "Anyway, thank you for your graciousness." You consider asking her why she had such a nasty forbidden spell - probably the worst out of any of the three of you - but that seems rude, since she is being friendly so far. "Looks like the job is almost done, yeah? You feeling ready to defend yourself against those creepy people my brother was talking about? Just so you know, he tends to exaggerate wildly, but still.."

"No problem! I'm not a afraid of a fight!" Millie beams and waggles herself cutely again. "Honestly though, I was kind of thinking we might want to, you know, tease the locals a little bit on the way back? Since we'll be away from gossipy types for a while. That is, if we can ditch that creepy French bitch and the angry freckle-faced girl. I was trying SOOO hard not to laugh at the way she talks you wouldn't believe it." she puts her hands to her mouth and giggles. "I dunno why she got so mad at you anyways, I watched her with the satyr and it looked like a good time to me. And I mean, isn't half the reason to go to B.B. so you can brag to your friends back home how much you got laid?"

Your eyes flick around. Milly tends to be a very loud talker in her chirpy, pep-filled voice. But fortunately, it seems like the crowd is thinning out due to closing time approaching, and the line has advanced past where you two are standing. Kinzie is being left to deal with the last few dozen brats and parents, occasionally shooting angry glances at you from afar.

You smirk and giggle a little bit at what Milly said, not even needing to force it. "Well... you know, I think you might find Felice more amenable than you would think..."

"Nooo no no," the tall, pixie-haired girl says, wrinkling her nose, "ain't going down that road! I don't want to give Dracs like her any rumors to play around with, either! You be my guest, but personally, thinking about love and, y'know," she puts one of her index fingers into the fist of her left hand meaningfully, "'love' is stressful enough already, I wanna have friends where that's not even on the table. Like, you gotta have a neutral party without a stake in the game to hang around and talk with."

Brushing one of your braided blonde pigtails back over your shoulder you shrug, feeling opinionated as usual. "But that is not even an issue if you do not decide to make it so. You know Berthold, the one who got in trouble with us for recording everything with a crystal ball? He is my best friend. We have been getting along marvelously since I arrived. He is a young man, he is always going after girls. And I like boys, as I am sure you noticed when you saw me for the first time in that bathroom with cum all over me..."

"Lucky you that it was ON you, Fran!" Milly smirks and blushes, looking over her shoulder, clearly thrilled to gossip about dirty details. "That Beavertail knucklehead really took liberties with me. I mean, in fairness I wasn't able to tell him that I hadn't had time to get on any 'safety potions' yet and that he should've pulled out because of what I was doing with my mouth at the time but, I mean, whose fault is that? Those sure were a tense couple of weeks until I could be sure I was in the clear...."

"Right, well," you continue on, suddenly feeling a growing urge to get a look at the same spot under this tall, energetic girl's skirt that those cheeky male students had enjoyed, "the point is that it ist not awkward at all between us. And you know, even though I never did anything naughty with him, unless peeping on him while he is pounding some other girl's brains out counts, I think that I COULD if I wanted, and our friendship would be just fine!"

"Geez. That's weird, too." Milly looks perplexed, scratching her head. "Well, I guess... but I don't think I could swing that kind of pressure, Francisca. I always get all nervous, awkward and clumsy around boys, even the plain and ugly ones. I guess because growing up I almost never met any except for my dad and pesky little twin brothers. Anyway though! You up for taking a detour and getting some mileage out of these short skirts your brother has us in, teasing some of those randoms on the street? Maybe get them to chase us into traffic?"

Well, THAT certainly took a turn. It is impossible to tell if she is serious or not. You open your mouth to reply and then pause, because someone is whispering in your ear. "Say yes, say YES dear! Ooooh la la~" Felice's voice comes magically to your ear. "...we have her right where we want her. There is an entire herd of these ignorant cattle-people waiting just outside. Perfect time to practice my favorite new spell since I am going to be punished for it anyway! Or perhaps not! That's the game and the challenge, you see! You need some practice using your fingers, so you will go out there, flip up her skirt and play her like a violin without the bow, and then when it's all over, you will guess whether she is shaking and quivering because of your fingers or because I was hitting her with the orgasm spell. You go through with that and there'll be no more hazing, I prooomise. At least until you officially come over to our house, that is!"

Damn it. You're just finished with detention and already being put in a bind. You can't be sure that Milly Cherrywood will take you and Felice's game in good fun, to put things mildly. But, if you balk now, then you are going to be the main target of Felice Collier's mischief.
