"Shields count as weapons. You can send an offensive or defensive weapon, but not both. To clarify further since there seems to be some confusion. One weapon which includes any offensive weapon such as a sword, spear, gun etc... and any defensive weapon such as a shield of any kind. Also materials like ingots are not consumables actually and you can send a material or ingredient and a consumable if you so wish," she clarifies.
