Furniture!

"It looks great." Asami says as we enter. I look around the large room. I see two doors against the far wall. There's a counter a few feet from the wall between the doors. Luna and Innu take out their tails and claws. I let Eimbis and Barrai out and they immediately run off, playing with one another. Innu walks through the door slowly, seeing if they're wide enough for her wings. She jumps with excitement when she passes through without touching the sides. We continue looking through the Guild Hall for another hour. All the while, Asami and I are writing in our own separate notepads. We're writing down what kind of furniture we'd like in what room. Once we get to the third and top floor I'm shocked to find a kitchen. It's a large kitchen, with multiple ovens, freezers, fridges, and lots of counter space.

"Why's there a kitchen here?" Innu asks as we look around.

"It's for the Guild. As you saw after the battle with the Litch King. There will be times when we hold parties for the Guild. So we need a kitchen. Besides, the kitchen in your apartment is rather small." Asami replies. We go through a few more rooms and find the Guildmaster's office. The walls are lined with empty bookshelves. There's a large window on the other side of the room. Below it is a door. There's a small piece of paper with a magic circle in the center of the room. Luna runs over to the door and runs past the paper, nearly stepping on it. I decide to step on it, to store it in my inventory. I don't want to crouch down in the middle of the room because the others would notice. I then walk over to the door and follow Luna out. On the other side is a large balcony. It's made of stone and overlooks the entrance.

"This is beautiful." I hear Hino say quietly as she looks over the edge. I turn back and we leave the room. We go to the Alchemy room Ramia wanted. The inside is pretty bare, but the walls are lined with metal. The metal looks like wood and is even painted. Had Ramia not pointed it out, and had I not touched it, I wouldn't have known it was metal.

"This is perfect!" Ramia says excitedly. "And it has more space!" She continues and I smile.

"Is my workshop too small?" I ask her and she shakes her head no.

"N-no! It's fine. But it's m-made for doing one p-potion or experiment at a time. T-this place will let me do multiple at once." She explains and I nod. We make our way to the roof and look around. There are several plots of dirt ready to be planted. There's a fountain in the center of the planless garden.

"Liz will like this." Myla says and I nod.

"Speaking of, where is she? I thought she'd be here." I ask.

"She's helping out our parents now. We found a few Katorg members in a Dungeon. She's helping to detain them now. She said she won't be back until noon at the earliest, so she told us to go ahead." Hino replies and we make our way downstairs and back to the entrance.

"I'm impressed by the building. It's much bigger than I thought." Myla says.

"Yeah, I'm not sure what we're going to do with all the space." I say causing Asami chuckles.

"We could turn the third floor into a dorm of sorts. Most people who will apply to join us will be from out of state. So we'll have to house them during the trial period. Then we'll decide if we want them to get their own place or stay in the dorms." Asami says.

"Wait, what trial period?" I ask.

"Whenever you accept someone's application to join our Guild, they enter a trial period. The period lasts for a month. During that time they get to know the other Guild members and the type of work they'll be doing. If they decide they don't like the Guild, they can quit without any repercussions. The same for us too. If we decide we don't want them in the Guild, we can fire them without issue." Asami replies and I see Myla nodding.

"Yep, normally if you want to fire someone. You'd have to fill out paperwork stating why and sometimes pay them, depending on the reason. If they want to quit after the trial, then they have to do the same." Myla adds and I thank her. Asami and I sit down outside while the others walk through the Guild Hall again. We compare our notes for the furniture and finalize what we want.

"So, any ideas on where we should go buy these?" I ask after we're done.

"Yeah, I have a few stores ready. They all deliver, so we'd deliver them here. They're not Lyna, so you, Luna, and Innu would need to carry them in. Then you can use your inventory to move them. They won't fit in our Pouches." She replies.

"When would you want to go look?" I ask and she smiles.

"How about right now? We can take your bike, I doubt the others will want to come." She replies and I nod. We head inside and chase the others down. We tell them we're leaving to go furniture shopping. As Asami predicted, none of them want to come with us. We leave and I take out my motorcycle. I hop on and Asami climbs on behind me. She gives me the first address and I drive. We look around and find some furniture we like. We continue to the next after buying it. Asami handles the purchases and schedules the delivery. She tells them she's the secretary to a new CEO. They ask who I am and she tells them I'm the driver without hesitation. She laughs at that as we leave and I drive us to the next stop. After visiting six stores in total we go back. We bought more furniture than we thought we would. The price of it all came out to 239,402$. We get back and get off. Luna and Innu are climbing the tree out front.

"Welcome back! Did you get everything?" Luna asks while jumping down. I tell them what we got as Asami disappears.

"We're unloading them?" Innu asks when I get to the part about the deliveries.

"Yeah, they'll drop them off here, either in the lot here or on the sidewalk. Then we'll take them inside. Once we get them in though, I can use my inventory to move them." I say and they both shake their heads.

"No! It's a good exercise to move them ourselves." Luna says and I sigh, knowing that if I argue about it we'll still be talking about it after the furniture gets here. Asami appears and says lunch is ready. She tells me Eimbis and Barri are back in my Domain. Gaia and Verona brought them back when they returned. We go back and eat while talking about the Guild Hall.
