Funeral Arrangements

Funeral arrangements for a sitting politician were a dreadfully public affair, Elizabeth thought morosely. His team had covered up the rather scandalous nature of his **** adeptly enough, but it did take away from what should have been a genuine period for Elizabeth to mourn. He was a complicated man, with an even more complicated legacy. He'd ascended the ladder to the peak twice, but there was no doubt he had his demons.

The one constant in his **** was Father Abe stepping up to the plate. He'd been her functional husband for some time now, but there was no doubt he'd be required to officially wed her, after a proper grieving period for the first widow.
