What's Next

Fuming Moods

"Well, I'm gonna just stay out of that conversation. Maybe do some more reps back in the Gym." Alex muttered with a stretch.

"You're sure you're not overworking yourself are you Alex?" the red hair spy asked to which Alex give a chuckle and shook her head.

"Nah. More light ones from this point on, do some stretching too. Besides helps get my stress out better than shouting or ...what Clover did"

"Well if you think so" came the response before Kendra spoke up drawing attention from the two spies.

"I'm just gonna... go make sure my cats are doing okay. After that, I think I'll head to the gym too just to keep out of the way. Besides Alex has been really helpful in getting used to all of.... this." she said with a gesture towards her body.

"From what I saw of the photos you went up maybe 2 sizes, or three? Where as ours were... equalized? It's hard to explain but... just don't work her too hard." Sam explained as she turned back to her friend who gave a slight salute.

"Meanwhile I'll give Clover some time before going to talk to her. It's starting to get late so we're going to at least spend the night here. If she's REALLY upset, maybe just set her up in a hotel or something..., agh she's infuriating at times."

"I'm not trying to be a problem..." Kendra muttered as Alex patted her back.

"You're not, Clover's just being rude. I'll see you in the gym unless you change your mind." With that Alex took off while Sam opened up her laptop to work. Kendra just rolled with it and moved to check on her felines like she said.

You know. Like a Liar.

Instead Kendra moved off to the master bedroom and headed to the bathroom. She was... not used to something like this. Usually it was a random hook up at a bar but actually going after someone...., well Kendra wanted to look her best. She'd noticed during the shower in the morning that the bathroom had a fully stocked make up mirror/station and she was going to take full advantage of it. That said..., she was also NOT a make up type of woman either having only done minor touch ups. But if anything was going to happen, she wanted to look her best and thus spruced up; tying her hair back up into a pony tail, applying blush and gloss, eyeliner, just a brief touch up.

Besides this gave her some time to think as well. Alex was bothered by what Clover had said, something about 'Gym Bunny' seemed to have some weight to it. The term did come across her mind during the work out during the day but..., well nothing in her memory of the show really painted that as some sort of off limits word. It had to happen after the events of the show, so something recent.

Still it was best to just let Alex control the pace if anything happened. Kendra felt weird about doing this but it was a good moment to see if there was something, anything there. But she didn't want to take advantage of the girl..., best to see how she's doing first.

One clothes change later, Alex was back at it in the gym again. Taking it slower this time after all the heavy work earlier. She even turned the TV on to have something to listen to. More than anything though she was just staying out of the way of Clover and Sam. At least that WAS the idea,.

Instead Alex was back at it again, sitting at a Pec Deck Machine. She held the handles and brought them infront of her, making a *Ka-chink* sound each time. Normally, one would do this slower, but Alex's motions were quite different, with fast and forceful pushes with a heavy pause between each rep. Mainly because the spy wasn't using this to work out but lash out. Clover was being rude and mean for no reason, and some of her words had stung. Sure Kendra wasn’t what she’d pick but the woman wasn’t bad. After all she was kind and maybe a little cute…., maybe more than cute.

Still but what clover had said *ka-chink* really annoyed her. So what if she was enjoying this whole thing, why shouldn't she? It was basically an all paid vacation *Ka-chink* was so why NOT? But nooooo Clover has to be a big stupid jerk about the whole thing. *Ka-chink*, Oh no we gonna have to marry a woman *Ka-chink* , oh no I like dick too much *Ka-chink* , waaaah I wanna go home *Ka-chink* ….

“Alex?”*Ka-chink*

There wasn't any God damn reason to head back home right this second but No Noooooooooo, it wasn't good enough for Clover *Ka-chink* it was never good enough for her *Ka-chink* why couldn't she just chill the fuck out and.. *Ka-chink*

"Alex???"

Oh but Clover had her *Ka-chink* own little path in life set up *Ka-chink* so of COURSE she*Ka-chink* was in a hurry to get back when *Ka-chink* for Alex *Ka-chink* there wa...

"ALEX STOP!!!"

"W...what?"

The spy finally snapped out of her building rage and started to feel the soreness of her body. How long had she been doing that? Then she noticed the look on Kendra's face, eyes wide and face pale. The spy sleepily let go of the handles and stood up, rotating her arms a bit to get feeling back into them. "Riiiiiiiight.... sorry about that..."

"You were really going at that machine...., you okay?" The cartoonist asked, cocking her head to the side to try and get a better look at Alex's face.

"OH yeah! Sure... just... working some things out heheh." An uneasy silence followed after that before a meow brought them back to attention, the lazy cat just plodding out of the gym from the corner he had been sleeping in.

“Right so….., what do you want to do. I figured we should just keep it easy. For the rest of the night." Alex offered.

“Well if you really are okay, I don’t want to **** you.” Kendra started.

“No no it’s fine I could use something to focus on right now“ Alex weakly said before pushing the thought away.

“If you say so. Something easy then…, yoga?”

“Ooooo that actually sounds good. If you’ll bring the balance ball over I’ll get the mats set up and we can get started." Alex cheerfully said as she moved off to where the mats where.

Knock knock. "Clover? Clover come on."

Sam stood outside of Clovers room. She could hear the blonde grumble, along with the occasional meow of a cat. Seemed like clover was taking solace in one of Kendra’s cats. Hopefully that was a good sign.

“Go away Sam I don’t wanna talk about it.” came the voice.

“Clover you know Alex doesn’t hate you…, bothered yeah but not mad. You’re just upset. Please Clover let’s talk this out.” Sam responded quietly.

Sam waited hoping that the Blonde would listen. And the answer was the sound of the door unlocking. Clover didn’t open the door though so Sam let herself in. The place was a bit of a mess, beyond Clovers usual whirlwind living. Books and clothes shoved aside or tossed to the ground. The bed a complete wreck of blankets and pillows, the cat sitting on a pile and meow triumphantly.

It wasn’t surprising, Clover had a habit of turtling up in comfort when bothered. And her face made it clear she was. Her eyes were red at the edges and he make up had streaks of tears and marks from her hands. She had a habit of crying when angry as well as putting hands to her face to try and hide it or control it. Of the three, she was probably the most emotional one.

“Oh Clover…, come here.” Sam soft said pulling her fellow spy close for a hug before leading her to sit on the bed. She reached over for a tissue box to take one and dabbed at Clovers eyes. The blonde just let this happen as she gave out a large sigh.

“I just… so frustrated Sam. I got angry and it slipped out…, I mean how can you guys just be so okay with this…”

“Well I’m not okay with it being so randomly warped away from home or matched with a random woman but.. I mean could be worse.” The red haired spy offered, “it could have been Arnold.”

“Heh, yeah, or maybe some weird alien creature.” Clover came back with a sniff.

“Oh god you’d be complaining about the colors on the metal bikinis the whole time.”

Clover and Sam gave a weak laugh. It had been frustrating and awkward between them as of late and not just today. College and Whoop differences had slowly started driving a wedge between them. Alex was usually the glue but after that gym incident, she’d been more… reserved.

“It is nice to see Alex being herself again. You can’t blame Kendra for that.”

“I’m still not happy about this whole thing but…., I suppose it isn't the cartoonist’s fault. But that doesn’t mean I need to get nice with the woman trying to get in my pants.” The Blonde folded her arms and grumbled.

“I’m not asking you to be nice just…, understanding.” Sam said, trying to choose her words, “She’s like us, pulled here against her will and then told to marry three women. And fictional ones too, at least to her. She can’t be completely on board. Even if she’s a lesbian, waking up with three **** wives probably isn’t the way she wanted. I mean can you picture a morning where you suddenly have three husbands?”

“I’d wonder how drunk I was last night…, and maybe figure out who’s the best choice.” Clover muttered.

“Really?” Sam rolled her eyes, “Haven’t you had enough of guys at least for awhile now?”

“You asked, I gave an answer.”

“…, have you even considered…,” Sam started but Clover cut her off.

“I’m not having this conversation with you Sam.” The Blonde crossing her arms into an X.

“Why not what’s the worst that could happen? I’m not asking you to go fuck Kendra or something.” Sam pushed on, “I’m just tired of you always going on about your newest boy toy for a day or night and then moping about ‘Great lay, not right’ and then repeating at the next club.”

“I’m not a lesbian Sammy.”

“Technically you’d be Bi.” Sam countered.

“Sam, I like guys. I’m not having…, Wait what about you?” Clover pokes a finger at her friend. “I haven’t seen you take an interest in guys in awhile. Is that why you’re pushing for me to try…”

“This isn’t about Me Clover, it’s about you just.. calming down. And besides if I was I could probably do better than you.” Sam came back crossing her own arms.

“Really is that why you’re so okay with this?” Clover pushed on, “Oh my god it is, since Tim…”

“Do NOT bring him up Clover! Ugh, I try to get you to calm down and this happens, you’re such a drama queen Clover.” Sam stood up and crossed her arms defensively.

“That stupid system thought the three of us would be a match for her, why Sam? What did you say in your bloody interview that got us into this!” Clover stood up as well, hands balled into fists.

“Me, why is this MY fault? You also had the same interview Alex and I had, you tell me!” Sam shouted.

“Just… agh, get out I’m done talking!” the blonde pointed towards the door.

“Fine! See if I come comfort you any time soon!” Sam got up and walked out the room, slamming the door on her way.

Grabbing a pillow and using it to muffle her scream of frustration, Clover fell back into the bed. She’d fucked up again. Sam already was annoyed with her before this whole thing and now she was all but outright accusing her of being a lesbian. Just…, agh, why now of all time? Why was all this happening when… aggggh.

“Moew.”

Clover pulled the pillow off her face and saw that cat of Kendra’s, Vinny she believed. He’d jumped on the bed when she wasn’t looking. Clover was about to scold or move the cat when it just moved close to her head and started nuzzling her, giving off a small purring sound. The spy let out a sigh of frustration and pulled the cat closer for cuddles.

“I guess at least someone still likes me.” She muttered, using a hand to scratch under his chin and the other hand grabbed the remote for the small TV set up in a bookcase.

Flicking it in she was greeted to some old movie about a man on his motorcycle.

“Hmm, maybe I need some time alone.” Clover thought as she sat the cat aside and started to dig through the closet.

Who do we follow?
