From hate to love

It had been many years since the Fourth Great Ninja war had ended there had been a great number of changes that have occurred. The first being that the world was experiencing a great era of peace and had been for a number of years now. The next would be the new the set of Kage that were currently leading the five great hidden villages. Almost every village, except for the Village Hidden in the Sand, had elected a new Kage. Chojuro had taken up the mantle of Mizukage from Mei Terumi, while Kurotsuchi became the Tsuchikage after her Grandfather, Onoki, stepped down, Naruto Uzumaki took over the title of Hokage when Kakashi Hatake stepped down. The final person to become a Kage was Darui after his predecessor, Ay, stepped down.

After Ay had stepped down he had decided that he would finally get a replacement for his lost arm after all these years. He would have gotten a replacement sooner but was denied the replacement from the leaf as he was still a shinobi of the hidden cloud at the time. Now that he is no longer a cloud shinobi it is his hope that he will now be given a new arm to replace the one he had lost during the Five Kage Summit years ago. That is how currently found himself sitting in the office of Naruto Uzumaki, the seventh Hokage of the hidden leaf village.

“Now do you understand my situation Lord Hokage?” Ay asked having just finished his explanation as to why he was here. As he finished speaking, he looked directly into the eyes of the seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki.

The room was quiet for a few minutes after Ay’s question as Naruto sat in silent contemplation. Despite this though Ay was almost certain that Naruto would grant his request for a new arm. While Naruto was no longer the naïve boy that he knew during the war Ay knew that Naruto couldn’t resist helping people. These thoughts led to Ay not being surprised when a minute later Naruto responded

“I do Ay.” Naruto said with a friendly voice, “I will have Tsunade start on your new arm.”

“Thank you Lord Hokage.” Ay said genuinely glad that he will eventually be regaining his arm. It has been tough living with one arm for the last few years. Having to ask for assistance for simple things like washing his body and changing his clothes was tough for Ay and he was glad that soon he will be able to do it all on his own. Though that line of thinking made Ay remember another problem he would soon have. “Lord Hokage I need to ask if you know anywhere, I can stay for the time being?”

“You don’t have a house that you are staying at?” Naruto questioned with a raised brow.

“No,” Ay grunted in annoyance, “I purchased a home here in the village, however when I went to move in I was told they were still finalizing the paperwork. They didn’t give me any indication when I would be able to move in. Therefore, I am left without anywhere to stay for the time being.”

“I see” Naruto’s face adopted a contemplative look at Ay’s works before his face brightened up to a smile, “You can stay at my home for the time being.”

At that response Ay’s eyes couldn’t help but shoot wide open, “Are you sure Lord Hokage? I wouldn’t want to intrude.”

Despite Ay’s response Naruto’s smile didn’t dim at all, “It is perfectly fine. We have an extra room anyway.”

“In that case it would be rude not to accept the offer.” As he said this Ay rose from his seat and gave Naruto a polite bow, “Thank you.”

“No problem,” Naruto waved off before rummaging around for something. A moment later Naruto seemed to find what he was looking for, which Ay noticed happened to be a pen and a piece of paper. Ay silently watched as Naruto wrote something down on the paper before handing it to Ay. “Just follow this and you will arrive at my home in no time at all.”

Taking the paper Ay looked it over briefly before pocketing it. From the quickly look he got Ay could tell that the directions were very straightforward. “Thank you once again for your hospitality Lord Hokage.” With that Ay turned and moved to leave the office. He opened the door and was just about to step through when he was stopped by Naruto.

“Wait! Could you let Hinata know that I’ll be working late tonight?” Naruto asked while rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, “Don’t want her waiting up for me you know?”

Ay didn’t really need to think about it since he was going there anyway so telling his wife he would be late was something he could do. “I’ll be sure to let her know when I see her.”

“Great!” Naruto shouted with a bright grin on his face. “Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay here.” Naruto then sat back down at his desk and got to work on the stacks of paperwork that seemed to have grown longer while during their brief conversation.

Saying his own goodbyes Ay walked out of the office quietly closing the door behind him as he made his way out of the Hokage Tower. Upon exiting the building Ay removed the paper containing the directions to Naruto’s home from his pocket and started to follow it. As he was walking Ay was took note of the curious glance that the people on the street were throwing in his direction. He didn’t let that bother him though as he made his way to the Uzumaki Household.

After nearly 10 minutes of following the directions that he was given, he arrived at what he assumed to be the Home of the Uzumaki family. He didn’t both much to take in the sights around the house just focusing on the main building itself. The home had a peculiar shape as it was mostly circular until it got to the left side where it had a large rectangular section jutting out of it. Ay didn’t think on it further though as reached the front door.

Without a second thought Ay raised his right arm and firmly knocked on the front door. Ay watched a few moment for a response but after not receiving one he knocked once again. He waited once again for a response though after nearly a minute of waiting Ay was beginning to get frustrated and was about to knock again before the door opened. On the other side of the door was a woman Ay could only compare to an Angel.

The woman had dark blue bob-style hair that reached down to her shoulders. Her eyes were pupil-less white eyes with tinges of lavender in them. Her skin was pale and as flawless as porcelain further enhancing her beauty. For clothing the woman wore a light purple short-sleeved jacket with a long-sleeved white shirt underneath. Despite the jacket being baggy Ay was still able to make out the swell of her breasts through it, indicating they were substantial in size. Covering the lower half of her body was a pair of loose-fitting light brown shorts and a pair of purple shin-length open toed boots.

“Hello how may I h… Hello Lord Raikage.” The woman started in a pleasant tone that quickly changed to indifferent. “Is there something I can help you with?”

Ay had never seen a woman as beautiful as the one and because of that he was stunned silent. Everything about the woman in front of him radiated beauty and perfection so much so that it overwhelmed him. He was so overwhelmed that it took him a minute to compose himself enough to respond,” Erm… yes. I was told this was the Uzumaki residence, is that correct?”

It is.” The woman said coolly, “May I ask why you are here?”

Ay was slightly taken aback by the woman’s tone, as he was unsure what he did to receive such a tone. Putting that to the back of his mind Ay calmly replied, “I was told I would be allowed to stay here by the Hokage.”

“I see.” The woman replied with an unreadable expression on her face. “Please come in. I will show you where you will be staying.” The woman then stepped to the side allowing Ay to walk inside the house.

“Thank you.” Ay said politely as he stepped inside. Taking a brief look around he noticed that he was currently in the entry hall. From here Ay was able to see a hallway leading further back into the house. To the right of that was a staircase leading to the second floor, where Ay assumed the bedrooms were. On the left was a large opening that led to the living room, and if what he was seeing was correct the dining room and kitchen as well. After a moment his attention went back to the woman and he realized that he hadn’t introduced himself yet, though from how she was speaking to him it seemed that she already knew who he was. “I apologize I haven’t introduced myself. I am Ay, former Raikage of the village hidden by clouds.” Ay finished with a light bow.

The woman didn’t seem all that affected by the revelation, though that was to be expected. Not short after his own introduction the woman gave her own, “I am Hinata Hyuga, former Hyuga heiress, and wife of the Seventh Hokage.”

Hearing, the now named, Hinata’s introduction caused Ay’s eyes to widened. He had known that Naruto had married the Hyuga but Ay had never met her. He had heard from different people that have met her that she was incredibly beautiful, though what he was told didn’t do justice to the woman in front of him. Ay couldn’t help but feel jealous of Naruto for being married to such a gorgeous woman.

Ay had to dismiss those thoughts however when she started talking to him again, “I you would please call me Lord Rai- “

“Ay,” He said interrupting what she was saying. “Please just call me Ay. I’m not longer the Raikage so you don’t need to address me as such.”

That seemed to catch Hinata by surprise if the slight widening of her eyes was any indication. Though a moment later they returned to normal as she adopted a passive expression once again, “Very well. Please follow me Ay. I will show you to the room you will be staying.”

She then started walking towards the stairs and, upon reaching them, started ascending them. Ay followed a few paces behind her so as to not invade her personal space. Though Ay would admit that as they walked, he struggled to tear his eyes away from her rather plump backside. Sooner than Ay would have wished they reached the top of the stairs and walked down a small hallway with a door resting at the end. Hinata stopped at the door and opened it, stepping to the side to allow Ay to enter.

“This is where you will be staying during your time here.” Hinata said with the same cool tone as earlier. “If you need anything please feel free to ask.”

Hearing the tone Ay couldn’t help himself, “I apologize if this sounds rude of me but have, I done something to offend you?”

Ay noticed that Hinata seemed to be momentarily caught off guard b the question but seemed to regain her composure a moment later, “You mean you don’t remember?” Hinata asked with anger lacing her voice.

“Remember what?” Ay asked not sure what it is she wanted him to remember.

Hinata narrowed her eyes at the response, “You mean to tell me you don’t remember ordering your men to kidnap me years ago!” Hinata said starting out evenly before shouting towards the end.

Hearing what Hinata had said led to Ay realizing the incident she was referring to. She was referring to the attempted of the Hyuga heiress many years ago. He could see why she was angry about that incident since it resulted in the of her uncle. However, Hinata was angry at the wrong man in this situation.

“I remember that event.” Ay said somberly while Hinata while glaring at Ay at this point, “The order was to kidnap the heiress of the Hyuga clan so that The hidden cloud could acquire the Byakugan. Though you have one thing wrong about that incident.”

What is that?” Hinata angrily asked.

“I wasn’t the one who ordered it.” Ay revealed.

“W-What?” Hinata asked all her previous anger gone now replaced by confusion. “B-But you were the Raikage.”

“I was,” Ay agreed. He noticed Hinata about to say something, but he kept on speaking. “However, at that time I was still a Jonin and my Father was the Raikage. He told me what he had planned but by the time I told him my opinion on the matter it was too late.”

“Your opinion?” Hinata murmured just barely audible but Ay was able to catch it.

Ay adopted a firm face as he explained, “Yes. My opinion was that it was cowardly, and immoral. I was against the plan from the moment I heard it however, when I voiced my opinion to my father, he ignored me and told me the plan was already underway. I humbly apologize for all the trouble my family has caused you.” Ay said his voice becoming much softer as he spoke.

He waited patiently for Hinata to say anything in response. However, after a couple of minutes of silence the only thing he heard was Hinata’s footsteps as she walked away. He contemplated going after her but decided against it. She was just told very important information and needed time to process all of it. As she walked away Ay entered the room and slowly closed the door wondering how what Hinata was just told affected her. Just as he was about to shut the door Ay realized he never did tell Hinata that Naruto would be working late.
