Friendship

I have friends. Honestly, I never thought I'd say that. During lunch, I'm sitting with the girls. With my girls. I'm feeling really affectionate today, so I decided to give Amy a big kiss.

"Awwwwww" said Jasmine as we pulled apart. Lyn and Heather looked jealous as Mio looked uncomfortable.

"Sorry Mio" I told her.

"It ok. I'm just not used to open affection during school. In Japan, you could get in big trouble for that" she said.

"I don't get that. What's wrong with romance?" questioned Jasmine. I could tell the question made Mio uncomfortable.

"Jasmine, leave her alone" I told my Genie, who listened. Before anyone could talk, the bell rang.

"Mio, may I walk you to class" I asked her. This made her blush but she nodded. As we were going through the halls, she got closer to me.

"Thanks for this. You're my first friend in America" she said with a smile. Wow, she's adorable.

"Of course. No one should ever have to be lonely" I said.
