Freedom and a New Mission

It wasn't a matter of wills but of magical aptitude. The goblin's shamans were most likely the ones to make this item. It would work on normal women with ease, but a Hero's magic was far stronger!

"Or you could just undo the curse on me."

"If only it were so simple. There are one two ways to lift the curse. 1) Find us and kill us or 2) Find us and become the Dark Queen." The succubus seemed to be growing frustrated with the conversation.

"Well, then I guess I'll just have to kill you," Valerie couldn't hide the overconfident smirk on her face.

The succubus clicked her tongue in annoyance. "You really are quite frustrating. Fine, then. If you won't submit, them perhaps I'll need to take other measures. Until next time, hero."

The vision returned to Valerie's eyes and the sight before her almost made her pass out. The encampment was aflame with buddies strewn across the ground. Valerie stood in the middle of the carnage, her sword dripping with blood. She needed to get out of here. "Fuck the quest."

When Gareth returned from his quest, she told him everything. As always, he was immediately supportive. He wanted to help her in her quest, knowing that they would have come to blows with Amathys anyways. The question was: would she let him come with her?
