“Dare me,” Taylor whispered to him. For him. She sounded like he'd dreamed she would in the dead of night, when he alone could hear her. “I dare you to dare me.”

She made a convincing argument.

Gavin was taking too long. The others shuffled in place so their butts wouldn't fall asleep. Shawn for one was already a lost cause.

Chloe? She finally returned his gaze and smiled weakly. Was all forgiven, then?

Heather? She winked at Gavin's burning face. Oh, the things he would have her do to Taylor, and Peter certainly wouldn't object...

Kurt? The older guy never blinked. He'd gotten off easy so far, lurking at the fringe and talking big when it suited him. Here was a chance to get back at him for everything he'd done.

Ashley and Heather gasped. Dustin put a hand on her shoulder. Her blush rose, their eyes heavy on her, but she ignored them all.

A giggle turned to a gasp as Victoria stood up. She unsnapped the top button.

Gavin couldn't read her expression, but he got the sense he'd violated their unspoken agreement. This was not what she'd been expecting to hear.

“Uh.” He lost count of the hands waving behind her. “Your choice.”
