Forgiveness

It happened between classes. I was with Jasmine and Lyn, just having a casual conversation. All was good, until I saw Amy.

Chad had her cornered against a locker. His friends were nearby, preventing anyone from interfering.

"LET HER GO" I yelled as the three of us charged in, but we were stopped. Jasmine and Lyn were grabbed as I was thrown to the ground.

"I'm just teaching this freak a lesson" said Chad as he grabbed her arm and slammed her against the locker, making her cry out in pain.

"LET HER GO YOU MONSTER" yelled Lyn as Jin held her back. I looked around the crowd, and saw Astrid. We locked eyes, and I could tell exactly what she was thinking.

This was HER idea.

"Time to show this bitch who is in charge" snapped Chad as he brought his fist back.

"NO" I yelled. But when the punch was thrown, it didn't hit Amy. It hit Heather.

The blonde quickly recovered and glared at Chad, who was in shock.

"Heather, what are you doing?" asked Astrid.

"Protecting my friend" she said. Chad backed away, still looking shocked. Soon, everyone left, leaving just me and the girls. Lyn ran to Amy as me and Heather locked eyes. No words were said, but one thing was clear.

I have forgiven her.
