Chapter 42 by AggaRuter AggaRuter

What's next?

Forbidden fantasy

Angelica had carried Tyra back to their room. The rest of the girls followed, concerned about Tyra and curious about the potion. Even Athalia tagged along, thought it was likely just out of boredom. Tyra laid on her bed, too tired to speak. Angelica took the small vial in her hands and held it over Tyra's mouth. She was worried about trusting its effects, but she knew she had **** if she wanted Tyra to survive whatever the gamemasters had planned today.

Angelica opened Tyra's mouth and poured a drop into it. After a brief moment, Tyra's eyes shot open and she took a deep and loud breath. It made Angelica jump from its suddenness. Tyra immediately shot up and looked around. She saw that everyone was looking at her and she immediately let herself fall back down on the bed.

"So you all saw me, didn't you?" said Tyra.

"Saw what?" said Angelica.

"Saw her fall flat on her face," said Athalia, "And yeah, we did."

Angelica hissed at Athalia. Tyra simply sighed in frustration. Lila approached her bedside.

"Are you okay, Tyra?" said Lila.

Once Tyra looked at Lila, her eyes went wide. Hearing Lila's voice and seeing her face triggered something in Tyra. She immediately flashed back to that night, seeing Lila act so lurid before her. She looked at her face now and she saw Helga's face as well. She couldn't separate the two. She quickly turned her head, unable to look at her.

"I'm fine!" said Tyra, "I'm good. That potion, whatever it was, did the trick."

Lila was shocked at her response. She didn't get why she immediately turned her head from her. Angelica groaned.

"They have magic potions that can restore energy," said Angelica, "But they'll only give them to us so we can better play their game."

"It's not like we have a choice," said Christina.

"If a dagger is plunged into your stomach, it wasn't your choice either," said Angelica, "But that doesn't mean you shouldn't worry nor try to do something about it!"

"This dagger is in our hearts, not our stomachs," said Tyra, "It's too late to do anything, and worrying about it just makes the inevitable even worse."

"Come on girls!" said Angelica, "The challenge is hours away! We don't have much time, but we have time! We can prepare something! Anything! Together!"

"What, like with the slime?" said Athalia, "Because that worked out so well, didn't it?"

"Well, it was working pretty well for a bit," said Lila, "We just got overwhelmed until Daelana saved us."

Daelana softly looked at Lila.

"We can't just do nothing!" said Angelica, "All I ask is that we cement ourselves as a team and work together on this challenge, no matter what it is."

"But the challenges are competitive, aren't they?" said Christina, "They'll pit us against each other!"

"That's the reason why we need to make this promise now!" said Angelica, "We can't let them do that to us!"

"I do hate to repeat myself, but this really is just like the slime hunt," said Athalia, "Is it any coincidence that the girl with the lowest points is the one that's begging us to stop competing! She wants to take advantage of us so that she can catch up!"

"That's not true!" said Angelica, "I want us all to survive! That's what I've always wanted!"

"Stop it!" said Tyra, sitting up again, "The more you plan, the more you fall on your face. Maybe it's better to just go with the flow for now."

The room collectively looked at Tyra.

"Tyra..." said Angelica.

"You know what they can do," said Tyra, "Absolutely anything! The world bends to their will! You can't plan for that. No one can."

Everyone was silent, even Angelica. She could think of no more rallying cries that wouldn't simply be repeating herself.

"Listen," said Christina, "Let's just go back to our rooms and rest until noon. I think that's the best we can do."

"That's probably best," said Tyra.

"Fine by me," said Athalia, "I'll see all of you losers at noon."

Athalia walked out the door. Christina followed as well as Daelana who looked back at Lila.

"You coming?" asked Daelana quietly.

"Give me a minute," said Lila, "I want to check on Tyra."

Daelana nodded and followed Christina outside. She proceeded to find Christina leaning against the wall of the house and looking up at the sky. She seemed overwhelmed and a bit saddened. Daelana thought to what Christina said that morning, how she defended her from Angelica. She thought she understood why now.

"It's hard, isn't it?" said Daelana.

Christina looked over to Daelana, surprised. But a moment's glance at her solemn eyes told Christina all she needed to know.

"Yeah, it is," said Christina.

Christina took a breath and pulled herself from the wall, continuing back home. Daelana went along with her wordlessly. Back inside, Angelica and Lila still stood by Tyra. Lila approached Angelica and tugged at her sleeve.

"Angelica," said Lila, "Can I talk with Tyra alone for a bit?"

"Oh, sure," said Angelica, "Let me just... go get some fresh air."

Angelica left the room and Lila and Tyra were left alone again. Tyra flipped over to face the wall. Already being alone with Lila brought back endlessly flooding memories of that night. It was like she could still feel Lila's face between her legs, like she had memorized every detail of that moment. It now felt shameful to see her for real.

"Tyra, are you really okay?" said Lila.

"I am," said Tyra, "But thanks for asking."

"Why aren't you looking at me?" said Lila, "Isn't that what someone does when they lie?"

Tyra felt backed into a corner. She couldn't hide from her for much longer. Tyra turned to face Lila, trying her best to look right into her face. An onslaught of excruciating feelings came to her. All the thoughts she had of her that night. All the fantasies of her that she indulged in. She felt embarrassed that now she looked at her face and had nothing but lewd thoughts. But she kept on looking, if only to try to put Lila's mind at ease. She couldn't, however, keep her cheeks from visibly reddening before her.

"What happened?" said Lila.

"Lila," said Tyra, "I... I told you about how dangerous it would be to get close to me."

"I remember," said Lila.

"So, please tell me," said Tyra, "Would you still be close to me... knowing that it was dangerous?"

Tyra's eyes pleaded with Lila. Lila had never seen the mercenary so **** or scared before. It worried Lila greatly, and she wanted nothing more than to make her feel better. She also felt a bit happy inside, now knowing that her night with Malgor didn't change the way Tyra felt about her like she feared it would.

"Of course Tyra," said Lila, "I love you and cherish our friendship. I always will, and I hope you will too."

Tyra felt a validation like never before. In her fragile state, hearing those words from Lila let loose the emotions locked deep inside of her. The ones that had been brought to the surface last night. Without warning, she ran towards Lila, grabbed her by the shoulders, and kissed her deeply. Lila's eyes opened wide, stunned and unsure what to do. Tyra held onto her for dear life. Lila tried to politely pull away, but couldn't. She tried to talk, but her voice was smothered by Tyra's lips.

Then Tyra grabbed Lila's dress by its collar. She violently tugged it down, baring Lila's shoulders and dragging the dress even further down until her breasts spilled out. The feeling caused Lila to shriek. No longer concerned with being polite, she pushed Tyra away with all the strength she could muster. Tyra bounded backwards and fell into the bed while Lila stumbled and fell on the floor. Lila looked at Tyra absolutely terrified.

"What are you doing?" said Lila.

"What... no... I thought," said Tyra.

Lila blushed as she covered her breasts and pulled her dress up to hide them as quickly as possible. She scrambled to her feet and made her way to the door.

"Wait!" said Tyra, "I'm sorry! Just let me explain...!"

"Stay away from me!" said Lila.

Lila grabbed her wizard's staff that she had leaned against the wall. As Tyra ran after her with her arms out in either a gesture of pleading or embracing, Lila panicked and pointed her wizard's staff directly at Tyra like a blade, her mouth hung open and her tongue on the edge of uttering a spell. Tyra froze, shocked at Lila's willingness to use her power like that. Lila trembled as she threatened Tyra. She remembered the last time she panicked and cast a spell at a friend. A tear began to roll down her cheek. She did not want to repeat the past. She instead turned around fully and ran out the door, as far away from Tyra as possible.

Tyra reached a hand out but couldn't find the words that could convince her back, if any existed. Tyra's arm shook. The realization that she had let her instincts take control became abundantly clear, and now she believed she might have lost a friend forever. She fumed, grabbed the nearest vase on the end table, and hurled it across the room. She watched it shatter into pieces on the wall as she screamed out in fury.
